His analytics might have been bad, but his results were good. Plus he was playing his offside against killers when nobody else wanted to. So, the kid deserves some of the praise he's getting.
That’s just the thing though. It’s an incredibly small sample size. His results were good but a lot of that was Skinner playing very well. That pair was giving up a ton of chances.

But I’ve seen guys declaring him a top 4 d who looked like a top 2 d in the playoffs which is far from true.
He played well enough to be penciled into our top 6 to start the year but he was far from a guaranteed top 4 player let alone a sure fire thing to be a regular.
That contract could be catastrophic for the team.
Is there upside and potential, yes. Is it incredibly risky, absolutely.
That said. If they do it, it means Ceci has to be gone asap and we also have to move someone else as well.
That’s a ton of risk for a guy like that.
