So amazing to see Nuge do so well, as an Oiler. Ever since he was so kind to pose for this pic with my son and sign his jersey at the Penticton Young Stars, he has always been my favorite.
Kid had class and was so easy to pull for.

Lol when you get super specific like that obviously not. Don’t be silly. I’m not surprised at all they are winning and look like the better team doing it is my point.
Well actually you are the one being silly.
My post was pretty clear...I said that anyone that wasnt suprised that the Oilers won the lst 2 games against the Stars 8-3 would be lying.
You posted this....
It doesn’t surprise me and I’m not lying.
I dont believe you. :D
Especially considering the question marks around the goaltending.

I am not surprised that they are winning the series because I picked them to win the series. Outscoring the Stars 8-3 in 2 games...that is surprising.

You replied to my post originally haha and then changed it to some super specific scenario. So sure you are right I did not predict your very specific scenario but did predict them to win the series.

And spec sucks ;)

Nope...the 8-3 portion was in my original post.
Its even included in the quoted post in your reply. So I was pretty clear with what I was saying.

The Skinner part was edited in after the fact (so your point on that is fair) but without him playing really well this team isnt winning those games. He was a major question mark coming into the series.

All that being said the crux of my post was the 8-3 portion. That is very surprising.

No matter...we probaly can agree that it's happy times in this series so far.
We both predicted them to win. :D

Knob just continues to be deserving of tons of praise, he's seemingly pushed every right button these playoffs, while also instilling a great defensive game in the Oilers.

But Jeff Jackson deserves a lot of praise too, took serious guts to hire Knoblauch as the coach they went for during that disastrous start, instead of turning to one of the more experienced re-treads. Jeff went for a guy he believed in and thought would be a really talented coach, and he was right.

Makes me very excited for how he's going to shape the front office, I think we're going to see lots of really smart hires, and a front office that's finally going to operate how modern NHL franchises should.

Yeah, Kraftwerk is my favorite band of all time. Not sure what version of Electric Cafe album you've been listening to but there's a more recent version with the track House Phone which is not on the original release. They renamed the album to their original planned title " Electro Pop". Hope you've listened to their discography in German which is my preference. Legends brother..

I've listened to both, but have Electric Café on CD. Gone back and forth on which version of the album and track(s) I prefer, both are great. Techno Pop being the remaster has a bit more modern feel to it which works well for a more digital release. Either way, probably one of the most underrated albums they've released, kind of seen critically as a "meh" album, it's in my top three along with Computer World and Radio-activity. I've listened to most in German but not all. I will definitely do so. For example, prefer the vocal delivery for Die Mensche-Maschine vs the English version.

True
I think there was so much to lose when from the beginning everyone on the outside saw this as a McDavid hire

Didn't post much last night because I was at my friend's bachelor party. He rented out one of the hotel rooms in the Rogers Centre Marriott that back on to the field; filled up the bathtub, sinks, trash cans with ice and beer. Got to watch the Oilers game once it came on.

What an amazing night!!!

One more win fellas!!!

KK inserts McLeod. McLeod scores.

KK inserts Broberg. Broberg scores.

Sometimes it falls together like fate.
Nice to have a guy back there who actually tries to win and recognizes when something he’s doing isn’t working as opposed to someone who sticks with what he’s got simply because he can’t so much as conceive the possibility that he could be wrong about anything.

Number 1 difference between this year and last year, imo.

The salt mines over at Calgary Cuck level of cope is now reaching with "the fanbase doesn't deserve this" because some fans get in fights at games / watch party, as if the Oilers are the only fanbase that has drunken idiots that brawl. Posted a recent video of one in the upper stands and lots of self-righteous bullshit about it. No worries about the poll results that contradict their pearl clutching, of course (I guess the 6% higher 'fan aggression' must be the huge difference lols)

The Most "Ice Cold" Fan Bases In The NHL

Of course, they're a lot less interested in posting the "Shirts off for Horcoff - 2024" video :sarcasm:

What I'm listening to right now (been on a bit of a kick) is super poppy vocal driven stuff like Ian van Dahl, Sylver, Lasgo, Alice Deejay, Fragma, Scooter etc. Some Eurodance like Real McCoy, Culture Beat, La Bouche, and just great dance pop in Ace of Base

But mainstays of mine regarding trance: mainstream guys like Paul van Dyk, Armin, Tiesto, ATB are always good but big fan of some not as well known: Lange, Art of Trance, LSG, Legend B, Push, Matt Darey, Blank & Jones, Nostrum, Kai Tracid

That's a big piece of my 20s, euro trance. Right on bro. It just takes you to a "different place".

Been really busy today so haven't had a chance to catch up with the likes but I'll get you boys or any ladies in time. Can't wait for tomorrow night, feels like an eternity away.
