I hate to be that guy, but Canucks have a league best 9-2-2 record against Teams currently in the Top 10

The fact of the matter is, the two best teams in the NHL are Oilers and Canucks. Who’s better? We’ll find out In a couple months
Agreed, never said the Canucks weren't very good. They aren't the top of the NHL for no reason.

It was a response to the notion that they haven't played the same type of opposition the Oilers have the past 1.5 months, since the Oilers streak started. They have.

They are 5-3-2 against Western playoff teams, with 3 of those wins coming against a far different Oiler team at the time. They can't take anything for granted. The division, and likely the #1 seed in the conference, is theirs for the taking. The next 6 weeks will be tough for them.

It’s possible to criticise the Oilers for many things, but it should also be possible to recognise a brilliant win streak when it happens. It was going to end at some point but they’ve dragged themselves out of the gutter and deserve huge credit for it if they can carry that momentum forward and consolidate a playoff spot.

washed, they never beat any good teams during the streak, vegas lives in their heads rent free, eichel>mcdavid, lolno cups, Lemieux is still king

Why? What did we do to you?
I was a Flames fan before Vegas got a team.:laugh::laugh::laugh:.

Nothing really against Oiler Fans, so the misery you get that I'm happy about is just collateral damage.

People mention the Oilers quality of opponents and that's plenty valid, but let's not forget that they had lot's of rest between games with no back to backs and hardly any travel.
Throw a couple of really good teams at them at the end of long US trip at game 7 or 8 and that streak doesn't happen. It really was a scheduling oddity.

If ifs and buts were candies and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas. Of course, circumstances have to allign but still very impressive.
