Streak is over, time to change the title of this thread.
This guy finally got release after 7 long weeks.
Streak is over, time to change the title of this thread.
The entire building laughed at Connor when he whiffed on that one timer. Dude needs to work on his skills
Yeah, I don't see that record falling eitherSame with Flyers 35 game unbeaten streak.
Yes I don't see that record falling either. I'm just glad that Pittsburgh holds the record for both regular season consecutive win streaks as well as postseason. Interestingly enough they were done around the same time of course the Mario Lemieux Jaromir Jagr era of 92 and 93. are illustrious franchise. I might be wrong about this but I also think we have the most consecutive losses as well.Same with Flyers 35 game unbeaten streak.
McDavid went wild at the end of the game and trashed his water bottle and yelled something at the bench.
How about accuracy to reflect today..."16 Game winning streak ends"
Because the current title, as explained, is still accurate. But hey, why don't we change every hat trick thread to "Player X Fails to Score 4" as soon as the game is over?
No change required.
To totally accurately reflect that they are in the "plofs".Too late, it was changed.
Flyers didn't win the Cup that yearSame with Flyers 35 game unbeaten streak.
you guys lost to ColumbusWish we had a schedule where we vs Chicago three times, Anaheim, SJ, Seattle, Ottawa, Montreal, Columbus, a slumping Leafs, Flyers, Kings and Rangers team, then three middling teams in Calgary, Nashville, and New Jersey.
That had to be the best stretch of 16-18 games i think I’ve ever seen where you had the most shittiest and mid teams you had to face consecutively.
At the trail end of a gruelling 7 game road trip and we still grabbed a point.you guys lost to Columbus
sit this one out

Man just appreciate it for what it is. There's a reason this has only happened 2 times prior. It's over and they didn't break the record, no one will care in 2 weeks anyways. How often do you hear reference of the 16-17 Blue Jackets.Wish we had a schedule where we vs Chicago three times, Anaheim, SJ, Seattle, Ottawa, Montreal, Columbus, a slumping Leafs, Flyers, Kings and Rangers team, then three middling teams in Calgary, Nashville, and New Jersey.

Imagine having your team be first in the league and being like this.Wish we had a schedule where we vs Chicago three times, Anaheim, SJ, Seattle, Ottawa, Montreal, Columbus, a slumping Leafs, Flyers, Kings and Rangers team, then three middling teams in Calgary, Nashville, and New Jersey.

excuses are for losersAfter a gruelling 7 game road trip and we still grabbed a point.
And you guys lost to San Jose in regulation btw. We did too, but yeah not as embarrassingly.
All the knobs like to tell themselves that. 24 wins in 28 gamesOilers took advantage of an easy schedule.
easiest 28-game stretch in NHL historyAll the knobs like to tell themselves that. 24 wins in 28 games
Definitely. Every other team only plays the best teams in the league every game that's why only the Oilers are able to win 16 in a row and 24 out of 28.easiest 28-game stretch in NHL history
Also you guys have had the 3rd easiest schedule so far so, glass housesWish we had a schedule where we vs Chicago three times, Anaheim, SJ, Seattle, Ottawa, Montreal, Columbus, a slumping Leafs, Flyers, Kings and Rangers team, then three middling teams in Calgary, Nashville, and New Jersey.

Flyers did it in 79-80, Pens did their streaks in 92 and 93.I had no idea the Flyers did this, let alone in the early 90s. Would’ve figured it was from the Bobby Clarke days.
16 games is impressive as hell!Flyers did it in 79-80, Pens did their streaks in 92 and 93.
YES! And the Pens had another streak of 15 in a row I believe in 2013.16 games is impressive as hell!
But those win streaks by the Flyers and Pens before OT and the shootout are even more impressive.
