The level of trolling against oiler fans is at at new level here. Oilers had 4 first over all picks 9 years ago and only have McDavid to show for it. Nuge between 5th and 10th in a redraft. 2 goalies push him down.

You oiler bashers have not had a original thought in ten years

I can't tell if the Jets are good, or if Hellebyuck is being a 1-man goalie show for a mediocre team.
I kinda suspect its the latter.


Oilers did manage to beat the Jets after the coaching change in a butt-clenching squeaker.

Helle still had a .947 s% and was enroute to "goalie-ing" the Oilers in a very lopsided shot-clock.
He was stopping breakaways, cross-seam one-timers, and all kinds of rebounds and highdanger shots.

Then he lets a muffin in from center ice which completely derailed the Jets.

meh...It's low hanging fruit, it's the easiest thing for people to target, even though the Taylor hall pick was 14 years ago The haters need something, especially a select fan base that believes McDavid was somehow "stolen" from them by the Oilers. and have been jealous ever since.

It's funny though, the Avalanche never got this kinda hate when the Nordiques had 3 consecutive first overall picks in 89,90,91.

You clearly have not watched the Jets, their record is not from Helle bailing them out. They actually have depth and are winning as a team.

@LuGBuG are you also trying to humble Canuck fans in their thread by telling them they made the playoffs once in the last 8 years and they need to dial it back? Or are you just trying to use ancient history against Oiler fans in here?
