1-Seth Jones
2-Connor Murphy
3-Jake McCabe
4/5-Riley Stillman, Caleb Jones
6/7/8-Wyatt Kalynuk/Ian Mitchell/Nicolas Beaudin
Not sure where deHaan fits in, if he stays then I say he’s slotted at 6 with one of Kalynuk, Mitchell and Beaudin rotated in on recall

Unless CDh is so bad again that he has to be benched as tge 7th or traded(since they said they are not buying anyone out,Cdh will get a top 6 spot...

2 options with this:

A .Cdh =2LD with Murphy as 2RD

B.CdH is 3LD with Stillman or C Jones as 3RD

So A:

McCabe S. Jones

Cdh Murphy

Stillman /C. Jones * Kalynuk

* whoever of these 2 not in lineup is 7th dman for that game...tgey coukdcrotate games as 3LD

Mitchell and Beaudin sent down (because they can) as still exempt from waivers).

OR option B.

Kalynuk S.Jones

McCabe Murphy

CdH Stillman/C.Jones

I think I prefer option B because it makes 1st pair better offensively....and provides a better defensive 2nd pair if CDH goes off form again.

If Cdhp lays hinself to the bench as 7th D then a C Jones Stillman 3rd pair is the only remaining option from tgese 7 d stating on roster pkayers.

If they buy'out or trade CdH then thisxakkiws 1 of Mitchell or Beaudin back into top 7.

Quesnel, B.C.
Hi everyone.

For those who don’t subscribe to THG. He’s not an insider or anything, just a fan of the Game who does a nice job of keeping up with the NHL and puts out a fair amount of content, which is nice during the off-season.

I thought some of you might enjoy his Season preview for the Team during these slow news days of August, or perhaps share this with someone just learning about the Team.

I find that although THG isn’t the most exciting personality, he breaks things down nicely for those newer to the Game or looking for regular content of the non-biased variety.

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the summer with your families.

Cheers

I'm hearing one of our Edmonton Oil Kings has passed in a car accident. Caleb Reimer was a big two way center who was eligible to be drafted next year. My condolences go out to his beloved.

Ottawa may have some interest in Dylan Strome. Is he a player you guys would be willing to move?

I think we need Shaw’s LTIR to stay under the cap but I’m not sure. Otherwise yeah might as well since there’s only one year left.

Isles pass.
Isles are no longer in caphell after the Leddy,Ladd and Eberle moves.

After the Boychuk goes back on LTIR, the isles will have $17m+ to sign two rfas Sorokin and Beau, along with their ufas. St Louis has taken Tarasenko off the trade market, due to low offers. I expect Tarasenko trade talks to pick up at the TDL.

I made a counter proposal in that thread and would like to know if there is any interest..... both Komarov and CDH have 1 yr left on their deals. Komarov has a $3m caphit and $2m salary due. CDH has a $4.5m caphit and $5.4m salary.

CDH with 10% retained to LI.
Komarov+3rd to Chicago.

We will take it, this is actually better for Blackhawks but I thought Shaw in LTIR would be better for Islanders.

Isles need a short term, second pairing D, until Bolduc or Salo are ready. There aren't any ufa D left on the market I want,so freeing up $ with no ufa to spend it on doesn't make sense.
Better to get a vet D,even one looking to bounce back.

This trade seems like somewhat fair value....but....it only adds to the glut of forwards the way the Hawks are currently constructed. The Hawks currently have 13 forwards who are not waiver exempt with Dach certainly taking a 14th spot before you even get into talking about Kurashev or maybe Reichel being to good to keep off the roster. Connolly certainly can be waived (and no chance he would be claimed), but I sort of expect he will be given every chance to bounce back until proven otherwise. Unless there is a subsequent or prior move dumping a couple forwards, moving DeHaan for a forward doesn't make a lot of sense.

Low offers ofcourse only Stan the man gives away first round picks like it’s Christmas day for the other GM, no one would have given anywhere close to what Bowman gave away for Jones, they were all just waiting to sign him in free agency next year, why pay so much when you can get him for free, you are overpaying anyway with cap hit why five away picks and Boqvist too lol, Bowman is so stupid lmao.

Try a post without saying Bowman or Stan. You can do it!

Bowman is the reason why this team is a failure, there is nothing more important to talk about.
I mean, you could talk about the line up this coming season and how you see the lines coming together, without your thoughts of the GM. Because no one really gives a shit what you have to say about him, anymore. But I feel like you know enough to give your opinion on other topics.

You're assuming anyone ever gave a shit what he has to say about him? lol
