Hardy: If we look at last season, in particular, I think Nicky played 28 games in the American league and scored 16 goals. That is a 40-goal clip for a kid that just turned 22 the other day. That is an unbelievable run.

He is extremely driven. He is a young man that loves hockey. I think he is very much knocking on the doorstep.

I'm excited about Niemela's camp. I want to see him playing with and against some NHL'ers, see what we have now and what he needs to work on, i could see him making a splash.

Mysterious injuries, I guess if Engvall is one, I wonder if a defenseman (rhymes with duzzin) had summer surgery on something, all this means is the cap isn’t as much an issue and maybe Sandin finds a spot on the starting 6 once he’s signed.
