Yes of course.. that's why Lyubushkin signed for $2.75 mil, this off season, and will be a regular top six guy, as he was with us, while Benn signed for $750k.. Benn played 39 games last year, and might get 10-20 games this year, if injuries are bad for us. These guys are not comparables.

Yes a really dumb team went out and signed a #6D to a big contract.

I think Lybushkin is better than Benn...I do wonder if Buffalo inflated the value a bit to get him to sign and they had to get to the floor right?

Boosh really dissapointed me in the playoffs, and the last couple weeks of the season. I will not really miss him tbh.

Advertised as a stay at home, punishing defenceman...but he was far from intimidating and more often than not, was struggling just to keep up with play.

Our D needs to get faster, period. Lilly and Mo are the only strong skaters in the core right now.

Who wears 85 in camp

Just watched a video of Keefe pissed off and got them to do sprints
And 85 just coasted like he doesn’t care.

Brodie is still pretty quick .. but in general you are right Gio Muzzy Holl and especially Sandin OMG slow slower slower and slowest

Being paid as a bottom pair D who was way miscast as a top-pair with Rielly and didn't do anything egregious to cost the Leafs in any game and actually made several key plays that won the Leafs game 3.

But do say more

Miscast as a top pairing defenceman with his overwhelming workload of 13:54 TOI/G in the playoffs, a full 3 minutes less than Holl?

Those sound like top pairing numbers.

Everything the players have said is they appreciate having someone hold them accountable. I think we can all agree that is needed time to time. I'm the furthest thing from an athlete and sometimes I can coast on long projects.

This is make or break year for everything they have built. Dubas, Keefe, the core. The vision, the process. The players need to understand they don't progress this season and the team will never look the same. We all know if Dubas is fired, the new GM will be a boomer and will trade Nylander instantly for some mediocre 2nd pairing dman and Nylander will go on to be a PPG player with true top line minutes.

So get er done boys!!! Fans too soft if they are crying the coach is making the players play hard.

I think Boosh is better, but are we really using the team that signed Skinner to $9 million as the poster child of what a player is worth?

Boosh was so awful, we sat out Holl and Lil instead of him against the defending champs everyone loves to say we out played. Dubas would have loved him back, as he said, he simply played too well for us to afford him. Handled the puck like a grenade and wasn’t 1st line material every shift, but man that guy won 90 percent of the board battles and cleared that net routinely. Every team needs a Boosh, to continually slag him, I see it as confirmation people are clueless understanding the game. It takes all kinds and unlike the keyboard warriors, the former players who covered the Leafs were universal in appreciating his game, warts and all.

Back to you….
