He is a goalie prospect....

I dont get it either..

bernier goes for a 2nd, scrivens (who turns into a 3rd) and frattin...whose working on his 7th pt. Have to think Bernier has more value then Subban and Amacs value is probably a first rounder...

Bernier was an RFA, Toronto gave him 2.9 mill. LA wasn't going to pay that for a back up. Boston is in no rush to deal Subban. He will still be making peanuts for several years. When they do move him it won't be for a "bad" rental.

And Amac is a rental, a bad one at that. Not happening.

If you look at AMac as a 1/2 DMan ashe was forced to play for us, then he is awful. As a 3/4 with less minutes, he is perfectly serviceable in fact a good defensemen. He just became our whipping boy this year.

We will get at worst two 2nds for him like Murray and Regehr cost last year.

Amac will be one of the more coveted dman at the deadline, if not the most.

I'm aware of this. His reported value has been a 2nd and a 5th. I think everyone here would be ecstatic if he went for a 1st, because we all know he isn't worth it.

Well I have decided after perusing the Trade pages for the last few weeks that the following list is what we will get for Vanek at the trade deadline. This is based of the many posts from posters from the many teams that have commented.

Avs -- Milan Hedjuk's old sticks and used jock + their old skate sharpener.

LA -- Michael Jackson's leftover chimpanzee food+ anti-earthquake spray

SJ -- A two night stay at a Napa Valley winery (must sleep in the field though) + 2 left skates

Ducks -- A park pass for Disney + 25 original Mighty Ducks jerseys autographed by Goldberg himself (actually not Goldberg but an intern signing his name)

Minny -- nothing + nothing but we should send him now and not wait until he signs in July

There have been many other lucrative offers from a few other teams but Wang and Garth have narrowed it down to the 5 teams so far. If you also notice each team was nice enough to comply with Garth's request of a Top + for Vanek.

I would take the ANA deal if it were actually Goldberg. Damn Garth could probably get a Reed or an Averman jersey if the ducks were serious. Banks would be too much and like Gibson Julie the cat is untouchable. Unless you take her on a date first. Lol

I heard these days Julie has fallen on hard times... she is far from untouchable...in fact you can touch her for 2 dollars in the alley behind the arena.

If you willingly traipse through HF Boards' equivalent of Arkham Assylum, you shouldn't act surprised when you meet a few posters who are certifiable.

We will get a good return. I don't know why anyone is tripping over this. I'm just as unhappy as the next guy in here over the fate of this season, but don't let it pollute your every thought regarding hockey.

This post was just a joke reference about the Trade board "experts" LOL I will still be enjoying my season tickets each and every game for the rest of the season. I was just getting a kick out of how as Isles fans we are constantly told we don't know anything about hockeyover there.

I heard he's asking for 5 mill/year.

If that's true then the Isles fanbase should whip him, and whip him good.

If Amac gets the $$ then he should do a Joe Thorton after scoring 4 goals.

6 teams inquired on AMAC, but no firm offers.

I'm just hoping Snow doesn't try to outsmart himself by waiting until March 4th to make these trades. I don't think there's going to be a big feeding frenzy like Snow seems to be hoping for. First great deal offered for Vanek and MacDonald, take those deals immediately. I'm so worried either guy gets injured.

Someone who could help the Bruins win a Stanley Cup.

Hell Rask came 1 game away from winning the Cup last year, and he's ONLY 27, he's going nowhere. Subban will probably be in the minors for a couple of seasons (if he stays with the Bruins), he's a great trade chip. If the Isles offered AMac and Poulin for Subban the Bruins would probably take that. Hell even Poulin's goals against would probably be good in front of the Bruins D.

Every season there are teams who are on the cusp who want to that that one move to help put them over the edge...

Snow has 1 stud, and Amac is solid in the proper role. Teams want them, and will trade for them. Do people really think that just because we are the Isles, that teams will not trade what is necessary for spite?

I don't get it...

This is what scares me.

I think it's a case as some players get traded that takes one team off the table who might make a deal. Say for instance Edmonton trades Hemsky to LA, and Buffalo trades Moulson to Anaheim, that takes 2 of the 6 potential bidders out of the equation(and one of those may have given us the best deal)

I actually think holding out on AMac is a smart move because I don't see many defensemen up for grabs at the deadline, but in the case of forwards seems somewhat a buyers market

If the Rags take Girardi off the market, I'm assuming there will be a ton of interest in MacDonald. The Bruins, Kings, Wings, Ducks, and Avs have already been reported as showing interest. I expect there to be even more teams involved, and I'm sure even more will inquire as the deadline approaches.

I know everyone thinks we would be lucky to get a 3rd, but I'm sure most teams don't see him the way we do. Minute eating D who can block shots, PK and hold down a 2PP sot in an emegency. Has been bad in a top pairing role, but any team looking to acquire him would have no intention of using him in that capacity. Makes peanuts so literally any team can fit him under the cap at this point. Playoff experience, however brief, is a plus.

I know the idea of getting Subban for him appears to be a pipe dream, but all it takes is for 2 teams to get serious. One team offers a 1st - another counters with a 1st and a C prospect - the other counters with a 2nd and a B prospect - the other counters with a 1st and B prospect - the other counters with B+/A- prospect(Subban).

Again, maybe not likely, but certainly not impossible.
