Watching Canada Norway. Tolleffson 6'2 210 29 year old dman.

He's smacking around the whole Canada team and giving them fits.

I think he played for Philly before.

Got a weird feeling we will trade Vanek to the Leafs along with Amac for Phaneuf + 1st

I know this doesn't make sense...meh

You can get it at most 3 star restaurants for under $30 a plate. And it isn't sweet as much as meaty. :D

Oh didn't look at his name that way. How about Tatar tots? How about a new thread to poke fun at the name of a player we want to trade for?

One problem with Tatar - he's small. We have too many of those. Not to say we wouldn't improve the Isles with his presence, but simply adding him to the pile of weaklings and girlscouts just increases our inability to compete with physical clubs.

That has to change. It is getting old watching this club get a loss on paper before playing a physical club. If they want to be taken seriously they need to be competitive vs. every club.

If we got Bennett, Despres and a 1st for Vanek, I wouldn't care if they did win the Cup. But that's too much to expect, IMO. I hope I'm proved wrong, but I just don't see that kind of return.

I'm terrible at making up trades, and I love Cizikas, but how about Vanek plus Cizikas for Despres and Sutter and a pick.

How about Bennett, Niskanen, and a 1st for Vanek and Amac?

Letang is out indefinitely after a stroke and a small hole in his heart was discovered. Other than Bortuzzo and Engelland, Niskanen is their only other RH defenseman and is going to be asked to play some big minutes and step up even more offensively.

He is still the guy I hope Snow offers this summer and ultimately gets, however I'm not optimistic.

Why trade for Niskanen? He's a UFA this summer. Look into bringing him in then.

I agree, plus you have to be nervous about a player in their contract year. Matt turns 28 in December which is not necessarily old by any means, but leads you to believe the guy will be looking to cash in big time with what will most likely be his biggest contract.

Worth a look but shouldn't get paid like a top pairing, yet someone will give him that.

To add on to Pittsburgh, Consol was okay, but PNC Park was a great ballpark. Also, Primanti Bros is incredible!

Oh, Primanti's......so thoroughly missed....lol.....the food is part of what I miss the most. I was gone immediately before Consol - I hear great things about it, but I don't know if I could stomach a hockey game there.

Primantis??? Isn't that some famous bar/grill that serves these italian roast beef dipped sandwiches? I seem to remember seeing them on one of those food travel shows.

I'd prefer someone bigger like Bortuzzo or Despres. Niskanen just adds to our smallish defense.

McKenzie says AMac is drawing plenty of interest.

Another press report says Snow has already gotten a substantial offer for AMac, but he is holding out for a first round pick.

http://beta.thescore.com/news/424928

Out of curiosity what would be substantial without there being a first round pick involved?

A top spec? Maybe a mid level spec and a pick?

I just dont see anything substantial without there being a first rounder involved.

Botta thinks there will be 6-8 teams bidding for AMac.
So long as he is healthy at the TDL, Snow will get good value for AMac.

I'd love the Isles to go after Stastny honestly. He would make Nielsen expendable and in a trade could really help out our blueline. Move Strome and Nelson to the wings and run:
Tavares
Stastny
Cizikas
Sundstrom

Our forward unit becomes more balanced, stay just as strong if not stronger down the middle and improve our blueline all in one swoop.

Try: Nielsen, 1st rounder(from when we trade Vanek) and a lesser prospect for Hjalmersson.
