I said it the other day when someone proposed an Andersson-Poolparty swap--Puljujarvi just has that Edmonton stench on him. I understand how young he is. But that organization just seems to have a way of ruining guys, to a point that some of them can't recover. Unless they want to basically give him away I'd have to pass.

My fear with Poolparty isn't that he couldn't still turn into some of value.

It's the price of taking that risk.

Yeah, Edmonton has done its fair share, but I can't help that initial projections for this kid were already being tempered a bit before he was drafted.

It took Kreider some time to develop and put it together. If he would play a similar game and have a coach like Quinn, I could see him turning it around.

I'm all for taking some risk with a big reward. Conditional pick + mid prospect, something similar to Yakupov trade. I'd honestly give Buch straight up but I really dont like him

I know he was a good player prior to his draft, but the WJC took expectations to another level, I think.

I believe Brooks said that Kreider was available, but only if "there was an offer the Rangers could not refuse". So major overpayment, or Kreider stays where he is.

So Luca Brasi with a gun against Gorton’s head and a certified check for $1,000?

Do NOT by any means trade LA for Pujuj. Any time EDM is trying to ship out a top prospect/draft pick usually means they are tainted. Now I dont mind considering a deal to bring him in as a project but Im not giving up value for him.

So we're gonna kick zucc outta town and somehow sometime maybe get Callahan back? Not saying in the same deal though..

That's more like one step forward 3 steps back type of move than a rebuild..

Callahan is beyond done, finished and was barely anything special. Sorry to his fans, just an opinion..

they aren't going to bring him back cause it helps the rebuild. they would be bring him back because his contract is so horrible that TB will give us other assets of value to take him and we don't need the cap space right now

That's true, but the idea would be to take him as a cap dump which means he would be accompanied by other assets just to take him on

We would be getting paid handsomely to trade Zuccarello and paid handsomely to take Callahan. Everyone knows Callahan is done. A desire to get Callahan is driving nothing.

From the trade section of the main Board, Eklund rumour..

Hearing Tampa and the Flyers are talking a deal that could send Simmonds to the Lightning and return Boris Katchouk, who was at one point a linemate of Flyers prospect Morgan Frost, and possibly a draft pick.../QUOTE]
