Sonny Milano doesn’t do much for me.

I feel like he was a guy the board had a crush on during his draft year, but 5 years later he still doesn’t strike me as even a high-end support player.

Whenever I see him in the AHL, I can’t help but feel he plays a very small man’s game, without having the higher end skill to push beyond it.
He will have a very nice, enjoyable career in the Swiss league.

Pass on Milano. Kid's a bust.
He crumbled like a damn cookie

Hayes extended, Pionk and Georgiev

for

Valimaki/Kylington, Jankowsi and 2nd (conditional WCF/or cup, turns to 1st )
1) dont want Jankowski
2) contending teams hate trading off their roster, and DESPISE trading centers off their roster
3) i dont think you can make Hayes extend ^_^

Just curious... why does Lundqvist's name not come up in any trade talks... not that I'm aware of anyways. Has he ever publicly stated that he's staying a Ranger for life and will stick through a rebuild until he retires?

If he were in play would you move him for Bobrovsky or have you got your future #1 in your system already?

Columbus is obviously going all in right now and are going to lose Bob for nothing. Given Bob's playoff record, Lundqvist would be a huge upgrade for a serious run. The opportunity to win a cup could really spark Henrik too. The only question is if Bobrovsky would re-sign in NY... and I can't see any reason why not. (I also know nothing of your cap situation) He's still a great regular season goalie and could be a very integral part of a rebuild.

Go gentle on me...
Hank has a full NMC and has said publicly he's all in for the rebuild and he loves being a Ranger and the opportunity to play his entire career here for one team is special to him.

Hank said he doesn't want to move. So, he's not moving until he says otherwise. He also doesn't like Torts if I remember correctly and comes with a 8.5M cap hit.

We have a great backup in Georgiev and the #1 goalie prospect.

If we could move him, we would. He has a full NMC

Frankly, that’s what goes through my mind.

He and Grimaldi stand out as guys who had a vocal fan section on here and I’ve never really seen “it” when I’ve watched them.

Hayes would essentially be taking his roster spot.

You are incorrect by the full length. No idea what you are talking about.

I have the sneaking suspicion the only thing that is holding up a Hayes trade is some sort of extension. And if it's Calgary, I COULD see it getting done because Gaudreau and Hayes played at BC together. We'll see. Hayes might have strongly considered going there as a College UFA before choosing NYR. So, there's certainly a chance this could be the hiccup. I think Gorton's trying to maximize the return by snagging a young NHL ready D from Calgary. If extension fails, it'll be a rental deal with another team. Maybe NSH or some other desperate team jumps in at the 11th hour. I dunno.

Just had a friend tell me three teams talked to the Rangers more than once about Kreider today.

I know I’ve been beating this horse since last season, but this is not a long shot by any stretch.

Kreider needs to bring back a top 6 prospect and a top d prospect... Cannot trade Kreider for picks

Doesn’t hurt that he’s really showcased what makes him special in these last two games. Just in case GMs needed reminding.

He’s been the wildcard in the back of my mind for this deadline for months now

I freely admit I have no idea what the market is for Kreider.

My gut tells me you’d either get a top forward prospect or a top d prospect, but not both.

That’s not all you’d get in such a deal, but I just don’t see teams giving up two prospects from their top tier.

Trading Zucc AND Kreider would absolutely gut this team...

Yes it will improve the prospect of drafting top 3, but it'll be hard to stomach considering he's emerged as the leader of this team. Rangers should only consider it if the other team is throwing their entire prospect cupboard at us
