Rangers are in line for the 10th overall pick, however Florida and Edmonton have a game at hand on them. You're also looking at Florida, Chicago, Vancouver, and Anaheim who have been on some rolls and have a good chance of passing us

These other teams are better than the Rangers. I see the Rangers falling down to 25th-27th in the coming week

I think we will land in the 4-7 slot

It would seem Gorton wanted to get Hayes done early so he can concentrate on something else. Whether that's Kreider or one of the other guys with term on their deals is TBD (and I am not questioning what your saying on Kreider, so it's probably him). Gorton has ALWAYS been patient so the fact that Hayes got done early means, at least to me, he has more happening

Not necessarily.

I think he just got it done when both sides came to an agreement.

How is Pionk going to command the same return?

If you look at the next sentence, I clarified it.

Sharks paid a D prospect + 1st rounder for Montour.

Swap D Prospect with Pionk, and I think there's something there. YOu want to talk about an unconventional trade, that is definitely one

We prob won’t drop much.

I’m somewhere between this line of thinking and that he held on his price and the deal got done now because the price was finally met

and for all those are who were drooling over the return for 36 and 13

please do an accounting

really, the return has been fairly weak.

not one impact player coming back

a low 1st and a 2nd and 3rd.

yeeesh
Zucc trade was disappointing but you aren't getting impact pieces for rentals. Ottawa didn't get one for a full season of Erik Karlsson.

Nashville is looking at moving their 1st.

Paul Fenton likes Fiala and Tolvanen. Fenton was part of Predators front office until last year.

Nashville likes Granlund who has one more season on his contract. Minnesota needs Granlund.

A 1st for Simmonds is high considering that he's put up the same stat line as Patrick Maroon who played shotgun for McDavid for a year of that time

Maroon: 138 games, 41 goals, 31 assists, 72 points
Simmer: 137 games, 40 goals, 33 assists, 73 points
