Brendan Lemeuix is a middle 6 player.

We have nothing to replace Hayes.

Rangers are going to regret this trade.

And Larry would be the first one to start tripping over himself in three years if Hayes was unmovable.

That's what he does. He's done that since I had to work with him more than 20 years ago.

I like Larry, but his objective is to get people to read and react. That's what keeps the checks coming, and that's why many sports reporters do the Sean Avery approach to reporting.

Laine has a history of not always seeing eye to eye with his coaches.

Which is the only reason I could see WPG not hanging up on teams inquiring about him. Idk enough about Maurice to say with certainty that he’s a hard ass but it seems possible. To me Laine seems a bit soft mentally as well. So it all makes sense.

He’s potentially worth the gamble but it’s hard to say, sometimes a budding star getting traded gives them a dose of reality and motivates them to become a more complete player. Doesn’t always work though, and I’m sure the ask is huge.

Brendan Lemieux is a guy you win with and a guy who brings the fight TO THE OPPONENT. Quinn is going to love him. He's 22 and has 11 points in 44 games this season but last year as a 21/22 year old int he AHL he had 43 points in 51 games played along with 170 PIM's. this is the type of player that is HARD to find in today's NHL and he is going to grow with this roster moving forward. I am beyond pleased with this for a rental

He's wrong right off the bat. Kreider is a better player than Hayes, a rebuilding team doesn't need to replace a middle 6 forward the second they trade him and re-signing is always an option in theory.

We have prospects in our system that will replace Hayes in time. Who cares about the next season, we are still rebuilding.
