I doubt we re-sign him. With rumored demands, NYR's cap situation and the added dissuasion of a lost 2nd rounder, this screams rental.

Antropov was a 2nd plus conditional 2nd. NYR didn't re-sign him after he played well for us.

Bare? How many damn prospects do you want in the farm system? Fasth and Lindberg are very good prospects. McIlrath and Skjei are also very good. Where would all these prospects play? Especially the D prospects? So maybe you trade Staal or Girardi down the line, you still have McDonagh and MDZ plus one of Staal/Girardi in the Top 4. Skjei and McIlrath slide into that last spot and then the other is a 5/6 guy. What the hell do you want? Where are the forward prospects gona play? Ahead of Hagelin, Stepan, Nash, Callahan, and whomever Richards and Gaborik's replacements will be? Give it a rest.

Clowe would've been a good rental--last deadline when it looked like we were primed to compete in the playoffs.

If we're expending the assets to rent Clowe, are we planning on fixing the D tomorrow? Kinda rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic by acquiring him if Staal is going to be out long term and Eminger-Hamrlik is the bottom pair.

Very disappointed.

Then you don;t know much about hockey outside of the 23 guys on this roster, and even that is pushing it. To say Lindberg who is playing on the top team in the SEL, in a pivotal role, is unknown....is ignorance at its best. Thanks for trying though.

You can find a way to pick up 2nd and 3rd round picks if you want/need them. This is an easy opportunity to make this team better and despite everyone expecting to tank this season Im pretty sure the management/coaches and players have different plans.

Because whoever we allegedly trade Gaborik for is going to have a salary probably upwards of 4-5 million themselves.
