I am assuming townie jeopardy is a T and R bit? Never heard it before if so. I don't care if they do stuff like that but you have to at least talk some sports on a sports radio station.

Yes it’s a in studio segment they used to do before Beasley killed that off, fired Lockhart and now running rich out. I guess you can finally listen to joe from Malden call in to talk why the PP needs to shoot more like the 9 other sports shows. Riveting radio.

I don't need to hear Bruins PP talk but you're making it sound like they shouldn't talk any sports at all.

Haven’t heard any developments on the T&R contract story since last Friday, but I too worry that Rich is on his way out, and that would be a massive mistake.

As some you have mentioned, Rich is the heart and soul of the program. Not only does he do most of the heavy lifting/behind the scenes work, but he’s also a very loyal employee - after all, he essentially kept the show afloat during Fred’s many absences and personal struggles.

The only explanation I can think of relates to the mass layoffs of Sports Hub employees. Perhaps the station’s higher ups took exception to Rich publicly declaring that he would pay Lockhart’s salary? While I totally commend him for that decision, I could see why some empty suits in corporate would interpret that as an F you. But I’m just speculating.

Either way, it would be dumb for them to let Rich walk while simultaneously hitching their wagon to Fred… either keep both hosts or scrap the entire show. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Pete Blackburn and DJ Bean launched a new daily hockey show today. Supposed to be nationally focused show but was pretty bruins centric. Pretty funny interview with Marchand too.

"With these results, along with more teams across different leagues moving to over-the-air partners amid the fallout of Bally Sports, we should only expect more NHL teams to join the Golden Knights in this process of leaving cable for free broadcast channels."

Definitely worth a listen. I lol'd several times. Marchy was quite the first guest. Hope they can top it!

Pete always hits my funny bone on "X". Think this is going to be great. First one was.
