Yikes, remarkable how he's managed to fail upwards. I guess WEEI hopes bringing in the cheap knock off version of Felger is the solution to their woes.
I don't listen to him much as he is an insufferable twat, but a few weeks ago I heard Jones whining about both the Bruins and Celtics winning the night before so he doesn't get to rub it in the fans faces that they're overrated. He is so happy when the local teams are doing poorly.

Been following him since he was on the Bruins beat at WEEI. Ever since though he has sort of fallen off with following the Bruins it feels like.
And the trolling of the Patriots and Mac Jones in particular recently has gotten very old. I’m wondering if that’s what did him in.

One thing I thought was odd was Jones never really went to bat for Arcand when he got let go. Everyone seems to hate Jones for the same reason they hate Felger but there's a reason Felger is the king of Boston sports radio. He knows what he's doing.

Too bad, I liked him. He was honest and came up with some good insights.
Very talented and creative as well. Really my only complaint was the schtick he developed recently. And he sure knew how to drive a joke into the ground.
I always wonder what guys like Matt McCarthy and DJ Bean etc do for work outside their part time media duties.
