I just realized Nucks don't even have their permanent GM.... so why is anyone even doing negotiations at this point for Miller? The new guy may just walk in and say "Nah we aren't trading him", or just completely toss out any proposals or whatever work is being done currently on any potential deals..

So this "Rangers are next level interested" seems like complete bait.

Right now JR will be acting GM, of course he's not going to hang up the phone whoever calls him. That be a little rude and arrogant. He has been fleeced in the past and some gm's hoping to capitalize on that before the new gm comes in.

Miller is also a point per game player, at half the cap hit, on one of the worst team in the league too.
You’re really going to compare the offense on Vancouver to Buffalos? Still waiting for the three first round pick similar trade…

Im blown away Vancouver fans truly believe he has close to the same value as Eichel

Miller, even without retention, is far better value @ 5.25M/season than an injured Eichel is @ 10M/season. Throw in the possibility of retention bringing Miller's caphit down to ~2.7m/season and you're absolutely looking at one of the most valuable assets available in a hard cap league.

A healthy Eichel is unquestionably the better player, but the number of teams that could even possibly fit 10M of cap is almost none. Throw in the injury recovery concerns and you're looking at him being sold for pennies on the dollar. Miller is the exact opposite - pretty much every team in the league can fit his cap, he has got 0 injury concerns, and he plays all three forward positions to boot.

In a hard cap league you're not just looking for the best players in a vacuum, you're looking for the best players on the best deals.

This is like the 5th time I’ve asked… when was the last time a player with 1.5 seasons of Millers calibre was traded for three 1st round picks?

I’m one of them. Tuned in tonight hoping Crysaitl gets pissy again. Saw Miller make an incredible short handed play saving a sure goal and springing a breakaway pass after with McDavid dumped on his @$$

Was gonna write about just that, you don't go full Selke on the best player in the world and create a play that leads to a goal on the other end, and not have value. (Also, with plays like that, so much for comments about him being defensively error-prone).

Isn't Krebs a top 15 prospect in the league? Most prospects we talk about(Schneider included) either barely make the top 50, or not at all.
No. He’s maybe got a 2nd line ceiling with an injury history. and why comment on posts you can’t read?

Players of Miller's caliber with a tiny cap hit and 1.5 years left usually don't get traded, full stop. Demanding a list of identical past trades in order to be able to assess value shows a lack of critical thinking skills on your end.

Worse players than him with worse contracts have comfortably gotten 1st round pick + top prospect in recent memory. Doesn't take much to extrapolate from there.

Duchene is probably the closest direct comparable. ~1.5 years of Duchene got a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Girard, Kamenev, Bowers, Hammond.

We hired Allvin as GM earlier today actually.

He makes half of Eichel’s cap hit, no NTC’s, and isn’t coming off major surgery. Eichel May never be the same again

Didn’t realize your post is false? Yes I did thank you though
What part was false exactly? It’s been very well established Washington paid to get rid of panik. Also true that Mantha had much more term.

The only false thing here is Nucks fans thinking they’re going to get three 1st round picks +
