Francesco is truly a piece of shit. I have no respects for this guy anymore.

And anecdotally, you talk to tradespeople in the Lower Mainland, and you won't have to go far to hear from someone who's been stiffed for work they did for the Aquilinis.

Well jeez, I wonder why they've not lead the team through a proper rebuild? These guys didn't get their wealth going about it the right way, they take shortcuts. And they run the hockey team the same way.

They hired the former chief of police for the VPD to be the family's spokesperson. Why would a family need a spokesperson who's adept at speaking about crimes? Hmmm... https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/brit...er-police-chief-named-new-vp-at-aig-1.3175422"
You should post this on the main board thread about the current Canucks troubles. I know many Canucks fans are familiar with at least some of these games incidents, but it would be good if more people were aware. They deserve embarrassment. As much as possible.

I'm now glad Boston won in 2011. I want to see this team win a cup, but not while Aquilini's are owners.

For me it’s always “f*** the bruins” however now that I think about it, it’s karma. I believe in karma. And I think karma was a reason why our evil owners wasn’t destined to win the cup. Their negative history has rubbed off on our team and will continue to do so until he reverses his fortune and try to do good as a human being.

Poster Lawrence has done Canuck fans a huge favor by researching and providing links to the major court cases involving the Aquilini's and their companies.

After reading the whole ball of crud, Canuck fans can decide whether or not they want to continue coughing up money for this organization..... or maybe heading off in another direction. Support the Vancouver Giants or one of the Lower Mainland's BCJHL teams, and give the difference to charity.

Thank the Reddit guy.

9 cents on the dollar from Canucks for kids. What a scam. Where is the money going? Why is this not being investigated?

Many charities are a total scam. There's a reason why so many shitty corporations and entities part-take in it. It placates the masses and becomes a focal point in advertising and promoting good PR, mostly through your donations. A lack of funding into such programs would result in public pressure to fund programs via higher taxes on capital gains.

There are some good genuine charities out there but it helps to do your research.

Canucks for admin.

There is no limit to how low this guy can sink. Makes me sick having bought 50/50 tickets on Friday for Ryp and most of it went to administrative costs.

Well you gotta pay payroll of the workers with the tickets, pencil pushers, accountants, lawyers. Gotta pay for pens, pencils and office stuff like computers etc. They likely have to “pay” Aquilini to rent an office space in the building. Lots of ways to skim the top

Any of you folks bother to read the rest of the messages before you went off on your little rants?

And did you read what the actual charity ratings were? Or are you relying on your junior bookkeeper skills?

Totally agree. The amount of overhead involved in many “charities” is a joke. Many are upwards of 90 percent.

Is this confirmed? Nine cents out of every dollar is all that finds its way to the 'Canucks for Kids' charity? Really!?

If this is a fact, then the 'low point' is no longer the Boudreau coaching fiasco. At least he leaves town with his pockets jingling.

Nope.....charity rip-offs is just about as low as it can get.

The “9 cents on the dollar” is the excess of revenue over expenses but the biggest line item in “expenses” is something called “grants”. Maybe that’s FAQ’s fund to buy a computer for his son but it seems much more likely it represents disbursements to organizations like Canuck Place.

WTF. Go and cheer for the Bruins!

As a fan of the Canucks I would never be "glad" the other team beat us in the Stanley Cup Finals. You can hate the owner but think of the players who have to live with the loss. The Henrik and Linden captained Canucks deserved to win. I'm never going to get over it and certainly will never be "glad" that we lost.

That’s shady as hell.

I think the sentiment now isn’t so much anybody being glad the Bruins won in 2012 but rather that Aquilini didn’t win.

That’s how despised he is, and deservedly so.
I think the only person I despised more was that #11 (I won't say his name nor buy Lay's potatoe chips to this day lol). Difference was, I knew his time as a Canuck was limited to his contract length at most. With Fredo? As long as people buy tickets to the circus, he'll be the owner FOREVER.
