I been trying to trade Crouse for two years. Was hopeful that the move would create emotion in him again.
Sergachev - MarinoKeller - Cooley - Guenther
But - Hayton - Schmaltz
Crouse - Iginla - Maccelli
McBain - Stenlund - Doan
That is an extremely young group.Keller - Cooley - Guenther
But - Hayton - Schmaltz
Crouse - Iginla - Maccelli
McBain - Stenlund - Doan
I somewhat doubt we'll see Iginla in the NHL next season, isn't BA on record that he wants to let prospects develop, or am I misremembering? We currently have an empty slot for a 12th forward. I count that spot as Doan's.
Next year But and Iginla replace Bjugstad and Kerfoot. Crouse, Maccelli and Schmaltz will stick around next year for continuity.
I think he's not too dogmatic about good long cookings. Cooley, Guenther must have showed, that they could belong, got a shot and are now regulars. MavLam could be next. Kolya on the other hand took a little longer and is doing at least Ok nowI somewhat doubt we'll see Iginla in the NHL next season, isn't BA on record that he wants to let prospects develop, or am I misremembering?
I do think Tij'll get his 9 games in anyways.I somewhat doubt we'll see Iginla in the NHL next season, isn't BA on record that he wants to let prospects develop, or am I misremembering?

edit: typos. too early, not enough caffeine
It’s so young that the usual suspects will be crying of rebuild failure all over again! Many of whom, were outspoken proponents of playing youth over NHL’ers. That is an extremely young group.
And is Iginla really a C?

McAvoy would cost Keller.I wonder if a trade with the Bruins may be possible? A shake up by them that we can take advantage of.

We probably are on Carlo's modified NTC and I would prefer Peeke, but the B's would prefer to keep him and they already have someone like Stenlund.l
I wonder if they would entertain trading McAvoy?
That's not entertaining! McAvoy is the one not living up to his contract.McAvoy would cost Keller.
Not Peeke please. He needs a very simple system with team defense. He's not the solution to our defenseI wonder if a trade with the Bruins may be possible? A shake up by them that we can take advantage of.

They would want a RHD, I presume...I wonder what the cost be for Byram be?
Funny with how maligned he was (and the Coyotes for picking him) but Dylan Strome is pretty darn good the last few years.
Leads the Caps with 19 points in 12 games. A plus 12 and second in the NHL in even strength points.
Strome has the same PPG % as Schmaltz, which is 0.71PPG, and Strome is a year younger and plays C. Strome on his third team, Schmaltz second. Who would you rather have on your team? How many teams and years did it take???
One. He had 57 points the season he was traded to Chicago. He has outscored Schmaltz 292 to 280 since they swapped teams. Maybe Schmaltz fits better with the team. Maybe. How many teams and years did it take???
