Interesting is putting it mildly. I can't fathom this at all but then thankfully I've never been battered.

Ya, I don't know what to call it. It's not bizarre or shocking because I half expected her response to be in defense of Rice given her previous statements. It's sad that she is so blinded by Rice and his status, money, or whatever attracts her to him that she can not seem to see the kind of monster a person must be to abuse a woman in that manner. "To make US relive a moment in OUR lives that WE regret every day is a horrible thing." The use of us, our, and we as if she is still at fault is sad.

She's upset with the wrong people. If she wants to blame someone - take a look at your husband.

She's not gonna say anything like that publicly. She wants this to be a private matter. Obviously her husband's famous and doesn't get much privacy, but I can understand her frustration about how much this is in the news.

If Goodell was as skilled at protecting/improving the NFL brand as many say he is, he'd have resigned by now.

She can want it to be private all she wants, but her pro football player husband knocked her out in a casino elevator that had a surveillance camera.

Taking to twitter and instagram aren't going to help keep it out of the news, no matter how frustrated she is..

There's a reason why domestic violence is almost impossible for cops to deal with. As soon as they knock on the door, there is a "circle the wagons" mentality where it becomes the couple fighting uniting against someone else.

If Goodell was as skilled at protecting/improving the NFL brand as many say he is, he'd have resigned by now.

We'll see if the media and the public are stronger than Goodall and the handful of owners (I won't name names, but people better accept the fact who one of them is) who absolutely love him.

95% of Baltimore fans will probably say "thanks but no thanks" to the jersey exchange.

I agree. This has to a nightmare for her. Social media can be brutal when everyone is talking about you.

I'm sure it is a nightmare for her right now. However, her blaming other people is misdirected anger. Her husband is the one who is responsible for everything, and he owns that no matter how upset she is at the media. His actions cost him his job. His actions were reprehensible. He created this entire problem.

Certainly. If she was my daughter I would tell her to divorce Rice and take half of everything. She could easily do so.

But, again, she's not going to say that publicly. She's just venting on instragram about one thing that's making this hard for her that she can say publicly. There was nothing odd about her statement.

Vendors were selling #81 Aaron Hernandez shirts outside of Fenway last night with "CONVICT" as the name plate.

I'm all about witty tee shirts. We have a number of shirts from Sully's, but that's in poor taste IMO.

Yeah, I like crass shirts. I even have some REAL offensive metal and punk shirts, but there are a couple of guys dead from that psycho. I'd be pissed if I knew the guys he killed.

you think? I'd guess closer to the opposite.

I somehow disagree

Very different situations imo. That fanbase embraces the "thug" image that came from the ray lewis situation. Wife beating used to be largely ignored but thanks to the league's complete bungling of this case, it is now going to be viewed in the same light as pedophilia. I'd be shocked if you saw even half of the rice jerseys you normally would see in the stands.

I guess I'm lost on where the lines blur....murder=meh? but THIS is where they draw the line? After they've already given him a standing ovation knowing he knocked his wife out and drug her around like weekend at bernies?

You've got more faith in Ravens fans than I do

If she's looking for privacy and respect - social media probably isn't the place to go.

That was my thought as well. If you want privacy, why not remain private? Instead you go on the offensive via social media to complain that the media is evil? Contradiction anyone?

I like social media but I can see how dangerous it can be. I saw one story yesterday how this girl was bullied so much she committed suicide. Even after this her bullies kept posting hate messages on her wall. If I ever have kids Im going to be very hesitant to allow them access. It should come with an NC 17 rating.

Soooo I was in New Orleans this weekend. I take it I was fortunate to only have seen a few 2nd quarter plays?
