Yes. First half was good, second half was terrible. Better off missing it. What did you do in NO?

Mrs TaylorJ1 and I went there for a 5/6th anniversary trip. Awesome city, except for Bourbon St. I hated Bourbon St.

I also could see why the Patriots were so s***ty in the 2nd half, if Miami was anywhere near as humid as New Orleans was. . .

Owners scrambling to find their next handpicked trained monkey. Even "Mr Kraft", Jerrah and J Arthur Crank can't save their boy now.

The sad thing is, we will never find out what else this guy has buried.

Good read:

The NFL bet that what happened between former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and his then-fiancée/now wife Janay Palmer in the elevator of an Atlantic City casino would never see the light of day. That all we would see was the aftermath, Rice dragging his unconscious significant other out of the elevator of the Revel Casino after a physical altercation in February.

Q: How is that the NFL couldn't get their hands on the second tape, but a website called TMZ could?

Roger Goodell: "Well, I don't know how TMZ or any other website gets their information. We are particularly reliant on law enforcement. That's the most reliable, it's the most credible and we don't seek to get that information from sources that are not credible."

Law Enforcement: "We sent them the tape."

Goodell is soooo cornered now..

some front office secretary is about to get paid very well to say she received the package and never gave it to her bosses, then promptly sign an nda and resign.

The odds that someone in the NFL front offices got that tape, watched it, AND DIDN'T SHOW ALL OF HER BOSSES is literally unbelievable. The odds of that happening are 0%.

with woman making over 40% of the NFL fan base, I don't see how Goodell can survive.

He has no credibility- no one will believe anything he says.

Fans have been realizing for years that he is all about PR and not really interested in anything the fans would respect (like discipline).

This feels like the straw that broke the camel's back.

He's been the harshest commissioner ever when it comes to discipline.

What do you mean it's all about pr? Isn't that what discipline is?

For some reason I found myself wondering if Michael Vick's torture and killing of dogs while laughing with his buddies (hypothetically) as they abused a helpless animal was recorded and publicly seen would the public and the league be so forgiving in giving him a second chance. I know there are those who will never forgive what Vick did and those who say he did his time so I'm not trying sway opinion one way or another. I'm not comparing the two crimes or situations just focusing on the impact in which actually seeing the footage of such monstrous behavior makes over just hearing the accounts of such actions. On Rice alone it is sad that it took such a chilling video to be leaked for public consumption for the NFL to take domestic abuse serious. Quite the PR mess the NFL find themselves in right now.

What's funny to me is people are only now finding fault with the Ravens. They knew the video existed. They knew Rice's lawyer had the video. Not once did they ASK to see the video. They just went along with the NFL knowing full well what went on.

What a POS organization. We already knew they were but only NOW people are seeing them for what they are. They employed a murderer for years only to give him a statue outside the stadium. Not to mention Suggs is still on the team.

And Harbaugh says he's rooting for them as a couple?Barf.

Just sickening.

You won't believe it, but that paragon of moral perfection, Tony Dungy, said some absolutely tone-deaf things about Goodell's handling of this whole thing. Defended, deflected, and protected the league and Goodell.

Tony Dungy is a piece of **** fraud. Always has been, always will be.

Don't have much to add to this conversation, but I'd like to inform you that I very much agree with your comment.

The NFL totally screwed the pooch on this one. I have no idea whether or not Goodell actually saw the tape, but I think it's pretty clear that he didn't want to see it, or really investigate, for fear of what he would find.

On the other hand, I find it pretty annoying that every player, media member, and any random person with an axe to grind is using a tragic sad situation as an excuse to pile on all things Goodell and the NFL.

James Harrison is a jackass and always was. Goodell being an ****** does not change that.

As always it isn't the crime, it is the cover up that gets you in trouble. Every.single.time.

Good read, Mike.

I'd love to see the arrogant and entitled NFL come crashing down.

It's just too much in your face everywhere you look.
As Felger often says, they're about getting every last crumb of $.
