Here, it was more like a storm rolled through with dark clouds, and off it went.

I'm not much of a science or nature guy, so for me it was a "I saw it in real time", but "meh" type thing.

Well watching it turn from day to night and back to day in about 5 mins was cool. Anyone else watch it?
Sun this morning, sun now, overcast of the eclipse (although we did get a brief view as the clouds parted for a minute of two). With the diffusing effect of the clouds we didn't get the light-dark-light as well as you might hope, but pretty good.

Bottle of bubbly was nice.

That sucks. Clear skies here about an hour west of Toronto. I was surprised how significant the temperature change was.
It was cool overall but I definitely wouldn’t travel to see it like people apparently do.

I bought a new toy yesterday, I haven't been playing much lately and am hoping this will get me to play more. It seems pretty great!

Just bought this -- bass flatter. Turns your bass into a fretless bass. If I like fretless, no doubt I'll end up springing for a real fretless bass.

I need a new TV to watch the Leafs Stanley Cup run in all of its glory. What should I get

Depends on your budget and the size of your viewing area. We bought a 50 inch RCA LCD 6 years ago for $400 and it's still going strong. We live in a 1400 square foot townhouse so I definitely wouldn't go any bigger on the next TV. We had a 32 inch TV before that and it always seemed a tad small (but not horrible or anything).

I got one a few months ago. It’s pretty good for what it is. Definitely makes practicing easier (or in my case less embarrassing).

For the guitar guys.....

I'm playing rhythm at a benefit in Sept. I'd like to closely simulate the horn parts for this as there is no horn section.

Any thoughts on some pedal settings that might get me close?

I am a beginner on guitar and just learned Don't Fear the Reaper.

I was quite disappointed to have not spawned Christopher Walken.

I have an opportunity to pick up a bookkeeping gig on the side for a small business. How difficult is it to learn Quickbooks or Freshbooks and produce monthly financial statements? I am already doing something similar at my job, I think the part I'm unsure of is filing for HST and Corporate tax because the CRA website is so convoluted
