So the wife and I recently abandoned Twitter and moved over to Threads but I am having a heck of a time finding hockey stuff.

Anyone know of anyone on that platform covering Preds and hockey in general?

I haven't really found any real team focused threads, just the nhl, hockey fights type of accounts. I'm just sticking with Twitter for sports stuff and some news.

But I'm liking threads, people are nice and just want to have fun. Most of my 'for you' page has been inspirational/funny/travel posts.

Based on a video I watched on YouTube the trick seems to be to order the food on one of the register things rather than getting off the warmer. Never tried it myself.

I always said I'd never go there, then my wife and kids were hyped for it on a road trip and I didn't have much choice. After walking around a while I thought "It's not the worst place, it's just not for me"... that's when the National Anthem started playing on the loud speakers and everyone in the place, employees and customers, stopped to all sing along. I wouldn't doubt if there's a few videos that are on YT somewhere. Anyway, I know that's an experience that some of y'all would thoroughly enjoy, but for me it re-affirmed that I have no need to go back to one again. It's just targeted at a different clientele.

I do have a neighbor that goes often and always brings back a bag of Beaver Nuggets, and I'm happy for him to continue doing that!

I stopped in Georgia last summer on my drive back from Florida. I could have purchased a 12-pack of Yuengling for $2 less than the grocery store near Boca Raton. The bathrooms were nice and clean!

That is a great idea! I like the hustle and bustle most days, but sometimes I'm just touristed out. I remember we were playing Chicago a few years ago and my sister and I couldn't find a spot that wasn't overrun with them. I don't mind other teams' fans existing, but in large numbers they can be a little much to deal with.

I'm pretty eclectic, really, looking at this... LOL. But yeah, that's what I like.

I've come to the conclusion that everybody's tastes in music are "eclectic" and that genres are an invention by the records industry to attempt to convince people to buy more.

My recent listening includes Sturgill Simpson (literally as I type this Make Art Not Friends is playing ), Wintergatan, Stereophonics, Anamanaguchi, a local Columbus-area band called The Lost Revival, bits from the Quake II soundtrack (I've been replaying it because of the re-release and some of 'em stick in my head), Foo Fighters, and occasional returns to perpetual favorites Smashing Pumpkins and Blue Man Group. And at some point I'll finally get around to Gloryhammer's latest but I've been procrastinating.
EDIT: Hmf. Forgot OK Go and Depeche Mode. Although the latter was mostly because of a silly in-joke during a TTRPG.

Lately gotten on a kick of Black Russian and Eleven. Black Russian was the first Soviet band to be signed to an American record deal ( Motown ). Eleven was a band started by the woman who was the original lead singer of Black Russian.

Black Russian is interesting because every song is different, unlike what you hear on a lot of albums where they kind of sound like variations of the same song. Eleven is more Grunge/Alternative.

My other thing is a band out of the Ukraine called Leonid and Friends. They started as a Chicago cover band and are very good. They did a cover of a Black Russian song which is where I found that group, but they have an awesome cover of Deep Purple's Stormbringer as well.

I found “The Black Russian’s” “Black Russians” and “Black Russian”. Three VERY different genres. Which one of those are you referring too?

@Adz your music looks really similar to my wheelhouse. The bands you have listed get played frequently through my speakers.

@Predsanddead24 you and I need to hang out at a bar sometime, your list is a freaking goldmine! I’d never heard of any of them and after sampling them all, most of them are getting added to my lists.

@Viqsi Sturgill Simpson is one of my favorite artists. The ones you have listed after that are pretty sweet. I sampled all of them and am going to share them with my youngest son, that’s right in his wheelhouse.
