You must be that old guy from the Simpsons.I'm not going anywhere near it period. Granted I never went near Twitter/X either.
I'll just stand on my front porch and yell at the clouds.

Ok I'm not THAT old!You must be that old guy from the Simpsons.
Bucee’s is worth the stop just for the bathrooms. Finally got to see what all the Buc-ee's hype is about. Not for me... (although admittedly I didn't get a chance to try the barbecue)
Based on a video I watched on YouTube the trick seems to be to order the food on one of the register things rather than getting off the warmer. Never tried it myself. Finally got to see what all the Buc-ee's hype is about. Not for me... (although admittedly I didn't get a chance to try the barbecue)
Walked in, then walked out and stood on the sidewalk. "I'll be out here when your done"Every time I go to a Buc-ee's I start to think that Thanos may have been right

I tend to think Thanos was onto something every time I have to deal with the public....and even certain members of my family.Every time I go to a Buc-ee's I start to think that Thanos may have been right
Gah. BFC's tried to twist my arm into going there on occasion but I've never really felt the need.I always said I'd never go there, then my wife and kids were hyped for it on a road trip and I didn't have much choice. After walking around a while I thought "It's not the worst place, it's just not for me"... that's when the National Anthem started playing on the loud speakers and everyone in the place, employees and customers, stopped to all sing along. I wouldn't doubt if there's a few videos that are on YT somewhere. Anyway, I know that's an experience that some of y'all would thoroughly enjoy, but for me it re-affirmed that I have no need to go back to one again. It's just targeted at a different clientele.
I do have a neighbor that goes often and always brings back a bag of Beaver Nuggets, and I'm happy for him to continue doing that!
I stopped in Georgia last summer on my drive back from Florida. I could have purchased a 12-pack of Yuengling for $2 less than the grocery store near Boca Raton. The bathrooms were nice and clean! Finally got to see what all the Buc-ee's hype is about. Not for me... (although admittedly I didn't get a chance to try the barbecue)

That is a great idea! I like the hustle and bustle most days, but sometimes I'm just touristed out. I remember we were playing Chicago a few years ago and my sister and I couldn't find a spot that wasn't overrun with them. I don't mind other teams' fans existing, but in large numbers they can be a little much to deal with.Good pic from a safe spot. We need a bridge over Broadway now so I can avoid the madness and still get to some of my favorite out of the way spots still somewhat safe from the tourist invasion. I do sometimes just go along the river to avoid it. Seems 2nd is completely overrun again too.
If you like that outlaw country style I’m a big fan of: Charley Crocket, Sierra Ferrell, Vincent Neil Emerson, Daniel Donato, Brent Cobb, Margo Price, and Lily Hiatt.I need to find some new music/bands/singers to add to my playlists. What are some of the not so well known bands/singers y’all are listening too. Doesn’t matter what genre, I can and do listen to just about everything depending on my mood.
I’ve been on a Cody Jinks kick lately.
I've come to the conclusion that everybody's tastes in music are "eclectic" and that genres are an invention by the records industry to attempt to convince people to buy more.Old.
Jethro Tull, Jesus and Mary Chain, 70's early 80's Alice Cooper, Traveling Wilbury's, Pure Prairie League, Cake (but not too many of them), Mazzy Star, Gentle Giant, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, White Stripes and other Jack White ventures, Bowie, B-52's, Statler Brothers. I'm pretty eclectic, really, looking at this... LOL. But yeah, that's what I like.
Lately gotten on a kick of Black Russian and Eleven. Black Russian was the first Soviet band to be signed to an American record deal ( Motown ). Eleven was a band started by the woman who was the original lead singer of Black Russian.I need to find some new music/bands/singers to add to my playlists. I found “The Black Russian’s” “Black Russians” and “Black Russian”. Three VERY different genres. Which one of those are you referring too?Lately gotten on a kick of Black Russian and Eleven. Black Russian is interesting because every song is different, unlike what you hear on a lot of albums where they kind of sound like variations of the same song. Eleven is more Grunge/Alternative.
My other thing is a band out of the Ukraine called Leonid and Friends. They started as a Chicago cover band and are very good. They did a cover of a Black Russian song which is where I found that group, but they have an awesome cover of Deep Purple's Stormbringer as well.
Oh, I love Deep Purple! Back in 9th grade (geez) I had Machine Head on an 8 track and I played that thing to shreds.Lately gotten on a kick of Black Russian and Eleven. It's just Black Russian, the sound is kind of a mix of ABBA, New Wave, and a few other things sprinkled in. They really were a bridge between disco to more of what we think of 80's music.I found “The Black Russian’s” “Black Russians” and “Black Russian”. Three VERY different genres. @Adz your music looks really similar to my wheelhouse. The bands you have listed get played frequently through my speakers.
@Predsanddead24 you and I need to hang out at a bar sometime, your list is a freaking goldmine! I’d never heard of any of them and after sampling them all, most of them are getting added to my lists.
@Viqsi Sturgill Simpson is one of my favorite artists. The ones you have listed after that are pretty sweet. I sampled all of them and am going to share them with my youngest son, that’s right in his wheelhouse.
Thank you all for sharing!
