That is good to see, nice and motivated. He did have a good regular season just not the best fit for western conference playoff hockey. Looking forward to what he can do this year.

As far as today's NHL goes he is in his prime now. Age 23 onwards is when most players who are good... are good by 23. (Most)

Expectations high now

Defenseman ( and goalies ) sometimes take a bit longer . With forwards at 23 you better have shown something by 23

It just seems so obvious to switch Suter and Harley.

My guess is he'll have an opportunity to earn that as the year goes on. Harley was given a bigger role as the playoffs moved on as well so you know they trust him.

It's stupid yes, but Suter is a veteran and they're not just going to demote him immediately.

By the end of the year and the playoffs, I bet you get what you want and Harley is with Heiskanen.

Though to be fair, there isn't much intrigue in camp this year aside from seeing how Nils does. Interested to see how Duchesne fits in, but that will be when the season is underway.
