He was going to be a UFA, I'm sure Yzerman did his due diligence to make sure Husso would be willing to sign there. Have you considered the possibility that Husso may not have had interest in signing with Buffalo?

Yep. It will be interesting to see how many points it will take to make the playoffs in our division and the East in general. All three (Buff/Sens/Ott) will be tougher outs which will chip away at the point totals of those above them. Might see a lot of teams bunched up this year.

i feel Buffalo, Ottawa,and Detroit will be competitive and reel the playoff teams in.

in thr metro New Jersey, Ickes, and Columbus can do the same.

3rd and WC will be wide open.

if you have a bunch of teams in contention for the last 3-4 spots it can pull down the playoff line to 90 pts.

Boston with the injurues and age, Pittsburgh, and Washington should be reeled in. I think others too will be pulled back to be in a battle at the TDL thrn it just matters on how a team finishes.

the way buffalo played this year after March 2 would have put them into the playoffs if e erroneously was bunched up.

Doesn't matter. Adams has had 2 full offseasons before this to resolve the goaltending issue...he's done exactly jack squat. Yzerman has been proactive and smart resolving his goaltending issues, even before this deal. I wish we had a good GM.

Doesn't matter. Adams has had 2 full offseasons before this to resolve the goaltending issue...he's done exactly jack squat. Yzerman has been proactive and smart resolving his goaltending issues, even before this deal. I wish we had a good GM.

I think KA has done a good job overall, but yea he needs to get a goalie this year

Players have a say and way too many on here forget that. Its kind of amazing its been forgotten since we are only one day removed from a player not waiving to come here.

There just isn’t a point in explaining specific reasons why a deal may not have gotten done. Of course KA may have been all over husso, but wasn’t getting the guarantee to sign with us.

The response, which isn’t unfair, is “yea but big picture he needs to get a goalie and hasnt”. But there’s plenty of time this offseason so I’m not going to worry about it and freak out literally any goalie goes elsewhere
