Outside of the game in Jack's "MVP Season" where he made Eichel his clown, he's had some injury issues and just didn't develop the way the Hawks had hoped.

He was doing pretty well until the broken wrist, that really derailed him a lot it seems.

He's still only 21. Ive always liked Dach, wrist really threw him off but liked his play with and away from the puck, could still develop into a tough to play against top 6 c pretty easily imo.

Damn, It’s pretty depressing that Ottawa’s 3rd string goalie didn’t want to come to Buffalo where’s there’s a wide open net and good young defenseman to play in front of.

Kinda hope he gets stuck in Ottawa now and they send him back down to Belleville.

I might.....MIGHT be persuaded to talk about giving up 28 for Dach. 16 for Dach is a complete non-starter for me. Yes, a change of scenery might be all that's needed..........but I'm not giving up 16 in this draft to see.

Dylan isnt great but i feel like he wouldnt be a bad fit with jj and quinn. He could make that first or second pass out of the d zone and let them do the rest of the work as he labors up the ice as a trailer.

But maybe thats what krebs will be for that line too

Dach is not the same as he was when he was first drafted and I don’t just mean lack of meeting expectations. He has a known recurring wrist injury. I wouldn’t mind picking Dach up for 28, but 16 has too many interesting guys that have the clock reset.

This team this year didnt need larsson and we developed since the season before . Trust the process drafting are 70- 85 % and then fix the last 30-15 % through free agentcy and trades st deadline Thats ehat other teams do that winn the cup

Larsson is not a must have piece the drafting is the must

First, we don't even have one forward or defenseman on the team that is at any of their levels, so any comparisons to the idea that you just need follow that formula is laughable. If we did then, we can probably afford to have a less than balanced lineup, but the importance of having a solid foundational balanced team is crucial to have when you don't have any top end talent. You find that balance no matter the means. Whether it's drafting, trades, or free agency. There's no right % of players a team needs to build a core upon through drafting.

As for Larsson, he is not a must have piece, but he is a piece that could fill a role more than adequately as he has shown, so while you don't want to put your focus on him 100%, and overpay him, he's more than qualified to be an option when looking for players to fill roles on the team.
