Um yes, yes I would. That's the only playoff caliber line we have relative to the role it would play. A LOG-type line is an absolute must have to shut down opposing top lines.

They also traded for Burakovsky, Lehkonen, Manson, and Kuemper who were all big parts of their run. You can cherry pick all you want but relying solely on the draft is a recipe for failure.

That roster would get absolutely grinded into dust when it came to games that matter, and if they're lucky, playoff time. Teams would absolutely run these guys through the boards. And the guys that would stand up, you probably don't want to see them in penalty box often.

People are acting like Murray trade would make us non-competitive, because he'd be our starter, after saying there was no downside to signing Anderson, because we could still add another goalie.

Read my post you add these pieces when u are ready to compete as the Avs did . I gold you that in earlier post to put you over the top . Se Avs have no cap problem because sakic is smart he traded for a cheap goalie

Larsson is one of the best 4Cs in the NHL. He plays his role extremely well. If your only measure is points, you'll never build a playoff team.

i dont think he is good would not mind him as depth 4-5 c for 1 mil if competing for the cup

At the end my anger over Matt Murray blocking the trade isn’t even about the great return. It’s that I know I‘m getting a shitty Matt Murray level goalie anyway without the great return. So really it’s back on Adams again. Hope he enjoyed his couple hours out of my doghouse on goalie.

If he would get an actual starting caliber goalie I wouldn’t care about not getting the return to take a bad one. At all.

I don't necessarily know if that is true but it is a reasonable perspective. However, we aren't acquiring Murray, anyhow.

Nobody suggested giving Larsson $3.5 million. But for $1.5 million the value he brings to your lineup defensively is incredibly important.

This team this year didnt need larsson and we developed since the season before . Trust the process drafting are 70- 85 % and then fix the last 30-15 % through free agentcy and trades st deadline Thats ehat other teams do that winn the cup

People suggesting the Murray trade would have been bad because Murray would not provide sufficient goaltending is ignoring the fact that we could still have pursued a legit starter if the trade went through, had we not already re-signed craig.

Like Paxon said, it's moot. I just think it's silly for anyone to paint a crummy situation as a beneficial one

OK - not that I completely agree, but at least that makes sense. I read that comment three times and couldn't get to the point they were trying to make.

But yes, if we had gotten Murray we'd probably be rolling Murray/Anderson/UPL but if we're moving up from 16 to 7 and keeping 28 then I'd be OK with it.
