For sure I talked to my ticket rep and he said its nuts (actually kicked me off the phone lol to take more ticket calls)

Hell I'm probably going to road it to Detroit in April

I bet Detroit will see a rise in jays fans for sure.

Being in Edmonton, tickets simply aren't a practical gift. But I'm giving a bunch of Jays memorabilia and attire for xmas gifts to anybody who would appreciate Jays stuff.

Rogers stepped up in a way we didn't think they were going to. If the fans don't step up now, they'll basically be told that increased spending isn't worth it.

Met fan here. You guys are going to love not only Dickey but Reyes as well. Dickey is just a classy guy. Impossible to not root for him. Awesome pitcher as well. Even if he pitches closer to his 2011 season than 2012, you are still getting a great pitcher who will probably win around 18 games or so with that lineup.

Reyes was my favorite Met during his time here. Guy is just fun to watch. He makes so much happen with his legs alone, just getting on the bases is enough to get into the pitcher's head. I've seen so many big innings start with Reyes hitting a single, stealing 2nd and scoring after the pitcher leaves one up in the strike zone since he's more concerned about the guy on base than he is the hitter. He brings gold glove defense as well as a canon of an arm. You will love him as well.

I'd like a bit more info on d'Arnaud though, if anyone is familiar with him. I know he won't be a Buster Posey/Mike Piazza, but from everything I've read he will still probably become a very good catcher. Syndergaard as well, although he's still extremely young and a lot could happen.

Thanks a lot, and best of luck next year. My love of RAD and Reyes combined with my hatred of the Yankees will make it very easy to root for you guys next season.

d'Arnaud should turn into a really solid player at worst. I see him something like .270+ avg, 20 hrs with decent defense in his prime but he has the potential for more. He does strike out quite a bit and has a somewhat scary injury history with both a back injury and a knee injury. Mets certainly got 2 really good pieces in d'Arnaud and Syndergaard and should set them up nicely in the future.

I think D'arnaud has been covered extensively so here's some info on Syndergaard:

mlb.com
A hard thrower, Syndergaard is much more than arm strength. The 2010 supplemental first-round does get his fastball into the upper 90s and commands it fairly well. His power breaking ball has the chance to be above-average as it becomes more consistent, and his changeup should also be above average or better. With a strong and projectable frame, he has all the tools to be a frontline starter in the future. All he needs are innings and experience to get there.

Syndergaard has come a long way since being considered a “signability pick” during the 2010 draft. A late bloomer in high school, the tall Texan’s velocity now sits in the mid-to-upper 90s and can touch triple-digits. He also possesses above-average control for both his age and experience level. The issue with the right-hander, though, is his secondary stuff. Both his curveball and changeup currently grade out as below average and questions remain about their future potential. A talent evaluator asked about Syndergaard’s secondary stuff commented, “The curveball has come a long, long way… it is, at times, average,” He also stated that the young pitcher is toying with a slider and referred the changeup as “OK.” If the secondary pitches don’t improve then Syndergaard could develop into a shut-down, high-leverage reliever who could dominate on the strength of his ground-ball-inducing fastball. When I saw him pitch in May it looked like he was getting out in front of the curveball and dragging his arm behind him – making it almost impossible for him to throw it for strikes. He also was not doing a good job of holding base runners. The tall Texan should move up to Dunedin in 2013.

Good luck to your Mets this upcoming year. Well...maybe not this year, :P but down the road. I always admired the Mets from afar with the likes of Dickey, Santana, Reyes and Pagan being the attraction.

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this. Night and day. Literally, and figuratively.

question for whoever can answer it

i own MLB 11 the show, and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get updated rosters, i tried to download the latest from operation sports but it doesn't show up when i plug my USB stick into the ps3

Now that looks like a ball diamond

Wow that really makes the Rogers centre look like ****

Haha that pic is BS. The first the roof is closed, the second its open... lighting plays a big factor... would like to see a photoshop where they're both outdoors/indoors.

But yeah real grass would make a big difference. I'm not big on the looks at all, it doesn't matter that much to me... but in terms of play... would be awesome.

Open roof, closed roof, it's not hard to tell that grass looks so much better than turf. Aside from the benefits for the players, the look of it is just more satisfying for a guy like me.

Fair enough but he is right. All you have to do is look at how dark the outfield stands look and how different the dirt around the diamond looks to see the lighting is playing a huge factor

They'll probably have put it in the roster vault as well, so I believe you can search for it there.

Cubs sign Edwin Jackson for 4yrs/52M. Man, pitching is expensive. I still don't get why Nats didn't give him a qualifying offer though.

David Price's twitter is good times right now check it out

David Price ‏@DAVIDprice14
lol i know even though our team has been waaayy better RT @TomDip: @DAVIDprice14 It gets way better attendance than the Trop. lol

Price is going to be shocked by the amount of people being there that he's:
1) not going to play well
and
2) not going to get any popcorn

David Price ‏@DAVIDprice14
Why you attend them?! tons of room at least lol RT @Ooosh_E: @DAVIDprice14 David, as someone that attends games, I am mildly offended! Haha!

David Price ‏@DAVIDprice14
hahahahahahah RT @dwscaity_cakes: @DAVIDprice14 lol maybe their spies can blend in more. ;)

Good stuff haha...when's the first time we play them at home (not that anyone willl care about it come three hours from now, nevermind April)

I'm pretty sure we all know from experience what the current set-up looks like anyways.

For those asking, real grass isn't forthcoming, atleast for the next year or two. Alot of factors, and money, are involved.

I'd have more of a blood lust if I didn't know Price is going to shut us down every game.
