Thinkin' I'll get my blank Jays jersey fixed with a name and number .... Thinkin' Dickey is a gooder, I like more and more what I hear about the guy especially from his autobiography

C'mon man, step up and get an Esmil Rogers jersey. Because if he ever gets traded/demoted/released, you can just say that you're a corporate shill representing ownership. :D

I've had this new jersey discussion in my head many times. I keep finding myself leaning towards Reyes. Can't believe we got him.

it really is amazing how much talent the jays have assembled. There are at least 7 guys who I would be more than happy to put on a jersey. I'm not sure how I would narrow it down

Considering we had to send Buck (and, I think, consequently, Syndergaard for the Mets to take Buck) in the Dickey deal to cover the salary we were taking on, I can't see the team adding any more established major leaguers...just a couple more project arms like Storey.

edit: looks like CV got 10/2 from the Cubs. Not a lot of money, but to think this year we're giving that salary to Dickey blows my mind.

CV wanted to become a starter, he was behind our power 5 and Happ too.

I saw the announcement of the signing yesterday but the terms weren't released at that time. 20m over 2 years is quite the chunk of change, wow. Crazy how we're essentially paying Dickey the same thing.

Lost in all this is that Happ is a decent starter. We have a legitmate #4 starter in the pen at the first injury/Romero.

Don't expect anything else to happen other than minor league signings or MAYBE signing of a reliever. Jays have hit their spending limit and I think AA is gonna wanna see what this lineup can do before he makes any tweaks. Any other improvements will probably be made at the trade deadline.
