Prospects are prospects are prospects. If the Leafs were going for it I'd move a prospect to try and win. You do realize teams can try and win and draft and develop at the same time right?

Don't be so modest. Everyone knows that you're rightfully deserving of this honour.

Pretty excited to see the trade.

Here's an idea, most of us have been arguing over the same points now for a long time. Why don't we wait until the trade is complete? No point in arguing over and over again something we don't know all the details about.

The Rays who have had way more success than us in the last decade and look like they will compete for the next decade?

The Rays might be the most well run organization in the league we should be so lucky to have AA model or organization after theirs.

I don't see any confirmation that the players mentioned are 100% the deal. Gotta wait and see.

Yeah, if I recall correctly, when the Jays were competitive in those days, they usually traded a few prospects every year to strengthen the team.

I can see both sides of the argument. Yes, it's a lot for the deal BUT there is a metric ****ton in TBJ's farm system, remember, Drabek and Hutchinson are in the system and will have a full year of rehab in the minors.

Still, you hope AA finds a way to get I. Davis and move Lind for prospects.

We were contenders for years before we went all in. We knew what we had and that they could play well together and meet expectations.

We don't know that yet with the current team.

It's not D'Arnaud and Syndergaard if it's just Dickey coming back(plus the catcher swap), but I am curious to see who's moving, whether it's just D'Arnaud, or if someone is coming back with Dickey

Kent and Karsay were both big-time prospects. Jays almost got Randy Johnson for Karsay but the Mariners didn't get back to them in time...

I know I'm not supposed to post speculation in here, but I seriously think the AA statue building team is going to gain, not lose a few members if the extension gets worked out.

I feel the same. I'm praying that what was leaked is false. I'll be happy to have Dickey but very much upset with the drastic overpayment that may be on it's way.
