That trade doesn't happen. Lawrie, Bautista, Reyes, Morrow, and Johnson for Vernon Wells is more likely that that trade. AA would not be that stupid

It's just the Mets trying to drive up the price obviously, anything that comes out of those Mets reporters is complete BS.

I wish AA would leak that the deal is D'Arnaud, and Gose, for Dickey, Wright, Wheeler, and Ike Davis just to piss the Mets off
 
If that's the rumored trade and it is indeed correct, then AA just went full Pejorative Slur and can no longer be considered among the top general managers in baseball.

What would you rather have:

A 37 year old RA Dickey - Syndergaard - D'Arnaud

or

A 28 year old Anibal Sanchez + Syndergaard + D'Arnaud

Why not break the bank for Sanchez, and at least keep our best prospects
 
Anybody unhappy with the trade I'll let you know I'll take your tickets when Dickey is pitching, oh and playoff tickets too. I can't freakin wait for this to happen!

I sure as heck ain't complaining like most.

I agree. We just traded for 4 guys, 2 out of which were overpaid by another team last year. It's just money.

Sanchez has never pitched 200 innings and is just in general not nearly as good...
 
All the naysayers won't be whining on opening night when they actually see this guy pitch. He'll make you all forget about the precious prospects real quickly.

95% of these posters haven't even seen TDA and Syndergaard play, they just get man crushes from reading scouting reports. Our GM goes out an acquires the freaking 2012 Cy Young award winner and people are complaining. Unreal.

Potential is maybe or maybe not. Like a pitcher has the potential to win the Cy Young in a given year. Problem is, one of these players in the proposed/leaked deal has accomplished something.

And for those referencing the Marlins deal, they are really not comparable. I think everyone know what was going on.

Do I want the Jays to lose the prospects in a deal? No. Do I care if he does trade them? No
 
I'm thinking that this is more media hype for sure to drive up the price so an unexpected team will come in with a huge last minute offer .. Wouldn't be surprised if this hype is targeted at the Angels who seem hellbent on overspending this offseason, and need another legit arm in their rotation

I trust AA is smart enough to walk away from this type of trade
 
Is the hatchet job the Mets' beat writers are doing on Dickey before he leaves ridiculous or what?
