Trout, Harper and Strassburg have also been rated highly. Just as many top prospects have turned into stars as busts.

Rauch is actually a fairly solid pitcher. He was just terrible with us.

Fun read. Careful, it's ripe with sarcasm.

The many crimes of R.A. Dickey against the New York Mets

He once violated team policy by nodding hello to Jason Bay, thereby acknowledging his existence and lending crucial support at a time when Mets brass were trying to undermine his sense of self-worth and cause a total and complete mental breakdown so insurance would cover his salary, or better yet, he'd retire and become a hermit, convinced no one else could see or hear him.

I wasn't trying to make any sort of argument, was just looking at prospect lists and was surprised to see 2 former jays so high on the list

It would be epic if the Jays had a massive press conference and the unveiling of Dickey, Johnson, Buerhle and Reyes in their new Jays jerseys. Talk about making a statement.

When you go back 5 years and look at the prospect lists (since 5 years is enough time to gauge success) you can see just how many have actually developed into great players.

1: Jay Bruce
2: Evan Longoria
3: Joba Chamberlain
4: Clay Bucholz
5: Colby Rasmus
6: Cameron Maybin
7: Clayton Kershaw
8: Franklin Morales
9: Homer Bailey
10: David Price

11: Travis Snider
12: Matt Wieters
13: Jacoby Ellsbury
14: Andrew McCutchen

15: Jake McGee
16: Brandon Wood
17: Wade Davis
18: Mike Moustakas
19: Elvis Andrus

20: Fernando Martinez

About half.

It's kind of funny that Lawrie will be kind of a afterthought with all this infusion of talent.
