They both bring different value offensively but probably ultimately similar. One guy has more power one guy is way more dangerous on base.

But defensively Gose has way more value. Colby is average defensively with a decent arm while Gose has gold glove potential with one of the best outfield arms in the game.

Saying D'arnaud may be involved. Unconfirmed however.

Would like to point out that Dickey throws 2 variations on his knuckler. A mid-60's knuckler that has a big swooping break and a hard knuckler that can touch up to 81 mph.
 
When was the last time AA made a trade where it seems like he gave up too much on paper in a trade?
 
If d'Arnaud could be going for Dickey+... What would the + be? What do the ****ing New York Mets have that could help us? If TDA goes there is really no one to replace him. JPA isn't good enough to be a franchise catcher. TDA is. What do the Mets have to make up for that? **** really hope Travis stays put.
 
If D'Arnaud is in the deal you have to figure it includes Davis and possibly Niese as well.
 
I think (hope) the only way TDA is included if the Jays get an extension finalized with Dickey... even so it'd suck to see TDA go.
 
This may sound crazy but I'd be okay with d'Arnaud being moved if it's for the right deal, maybe Dickey+Davis or something like that

well we are looking for more BP help, if Oliver retires, we will probably put Happ in there. But I'd assume we'd either get a BP guy or a prospect along with Dickey. It can't be Gose plus D'Arnaud for Dicky by himself can it? Hard to believe.

I wouldn't mind having Davis here it would add another option for us on the bench/DH/1B. Although don't the Mets love Davis? I've read that they are really fond of him. Brings a lot of power but a ton of strikeouts too.
 
The only way I would be ok with trading D'Arnaud is if this trade is bigger than we think, and Ike Davis is included.

Lincoln and Happ trades were only trades where it even seemed like we gave up too much. Santos was coming off a 30 save year and is on a very cheap contract. Rasmus was still highly touted, coming off a good year and the only significant assets we gave up were zach stewart (who had a low ceiling) and Rzep.
