After all the building that AA has done to develop such a sound system, why would he essentially start to tear it down by trading one of your best prospects for a 38 year old pitcher.

Is AA's intent to win now? If so, then I think he would put more stock into securing his bullpen and 1 more powerful left handed bat. Dickey doesn't do enough, that Gose would bring, for the future of this organization.

The Mets are looking to cash in with his value at its peak.. Why overpay for what could be one season?

Hypothetically we don't make the playoffs (injuries, underperformance etc) JJ and Dickey might walk as free agents and we gave up all this youth for Reyes, Buehrle and Bonifacio.

How does:

Escobar, Hechavarria, Marisnick, Nicolino, DeSclafani, Arencibia and one of Gose or Rasmus --- for Buehrle, Reyes, Bonifacio look???

But right now you have an old as hell Yankee team, rebuilding Red Sox, Rays are retooling for a year and the Orioles are sort of there. This is the year to go for it, is it not?

The Orioles were a sham, they will never have a season like that ever. They went something like 23-1 stretch in 1 run games..Rediculous.

Someone isn't paying attention here..look at the moves AA has done the past few years and look at the huge trade he made a month ago..he built it up for times like this. It's not like our system is depleted.

The reason why I don't like the idea of dealing Gose is because we have no other significant bats beyond AA other than D'Arnaud.

That would make no sense. I don't see the Jay giving up D'Arnaud and Buerhle and Nolin for a 38 year old and a promising starter.

The reason why I don't like the idea of dealing Gose is because we have no other significant bats beyond AA other than D'Arnaud.

If you have enough depth in one position, you can trade it for the needs of another.
