Why though? Thole is even worse than JPA. Why not just get Buck and TDA to learn? Both of them are at least x2 more competent defensively than JPA.
 
You know how you can tell the Jays have had an amazing off-season. If they trade for the reigning NL CY Young Winner. It won't even be their biggest move of the winter LOL
 
Please no D'arnaud! I'll be supper pissed if we trade this guy. And a part of me inside scares me JP is the one, which sucks cause his heart is Toronto. Ugh

Not really, AA has stated multiple times that he hates stuff getting out into the public/other GM's. If LA/Texas/Baltimore/whoever sweeps in with a better offer now he will not be pleased.

I know thats AA's policy I'm just saying Davidi didn't have to tweet that lol, Everyone knows lol Whether it's being leaked..AA can't do anything about it. It's coming out of NY

Ya I know lol. With JO bring so pumped and hearing how excited he is to be with the jays, it just sucks.

IMO, I personally wouldn't do it without an extension. The good thing is, knuckleballers tend to have long careers, do this guy can produce solid outings with an age above 40.

It makes sense. They want d'Arnaud to start in the minors and you could go with a Buck/Thole combo for a while until TDA is ready (or well, after the super 2 cutoff date).
 
DJ Davis can not be traded, you can only trade a prospect after 1 calendar year after they have been drafted.
