Theres just way too much steam on this rumour for something to not happen, be it him being traded to the Jays or some other team.

The Angels are a significant sleeper here.

I think he is a good player with the potential to be a special player. If you cant see that than you should probably stop watching baseball.

Gose has better range in the outfield than Rasmus.
Gose has a better arm than Rasmus.
Gose is a much better base runner than Rasmus.
Gose got on base at a higher rate than Rasmus.

All Rasmus has over Gose is power.

We should stand pat and see where we're at... AL East has a lot more potent offense then the NL East... Besides, if JJ and Rickey pitch how they can, and Morrow stays healthy, we don't need him.


Giving up JP and Gose/Rasmus would be overkill IMO.. Go sign Rafael Soriano and call it a day... I we're in the hunt and need pitching come June-July, then pony up the assets to get some...


If things don't work out, we'll have added a whole lot of payroll and given up a lot of youth an potential.. We could be right back where we we're 6 years ago and have to start fresh..

Giving up JP and Gose really doesn't put a sting in our minor league system at all to be honest..

(Syndergaard, Sanchez, Osuna, Norris, Smoral) I could go on..

Yeah they've got the ability to put a package around Bourjos. I'd think Bourjos is more interesting to them than Trumbo. Angels farm system is really weak right now though.

Regardless of how much better it makes this team, this trade might be one that bites us in the ass eventually depending on who we give up.

That goes with everything though. Johnson could leave, Reyes could fall down the stairs, Buerhle could refuse to play for the Jays because of his dog...

Getting a sure thing in exchange for crap is almost impossible.

Seriously every trade has a risk of failure.

But right now you have an old as hell Yankee team, rebuilding Red Sox, Rays are retooling for a year and the Orioles are sort of there. This is the year to go for it, is it not?
