We definitely get Dan & Joe for some games this year. I think Dan is doing play-by-play for all or most of the games. Buck is analyst for m I think, 100 games And Joe is analyst for the rest.

I suspect Dan will have some series off. I’m hoping that when he is off, they use Ben Wagner for play-by-play and just simulcast those games on radio. I really don’t want Matt Devlin doing any games.

I think this is going to be Buck’s final season. The cancer battle has taken a lot out of him. I also think that Sportsnet wants to transition to Dan & Joe as the primary broadcasters. But as usual, I could be wrong,

I think you can play for Mexico and Italy if you have gone to a Mexican or Italian restaurant.

Cuba wins the group at 2-2. Chinese Taipei in the same group finishes 2-2 and is relegated to trying to qualify for the next WBC. Tiebreakers are cruel. A 5 way 2-2 tie is so strange. I feel like Italy deserves last as they're the only team that required extra innings to win 1 of their games.

I think it depends on the country. Some of them accept lineage (Italy especially is mostly Italian-Americans. Lars Nootbaar plays for Japan because his mom is Japanese, Tommy Edman plays for Korea because his mom is Korean-American (she wasn't born there the way Nootbaar's mom was)), some accept former colonial ties (the Netherlands team is in large part made of guys from Curacao and other island nations with old Dutch ties) and I'm pretty sure the requirement for Team Israel is "are you Jewish?"
