He played in the top 6 at different times. I don't need to see Mitchell in the top 6 to know he isn't a top 6 guy, it's just common sense. Same for Eller, watching him play speaks for itself.

Mitchell didn't put up 30pts in 46gp did he?
Mitchell didn't produce well every time given top 6 players did he??

It's really time for you to remove the ''Scout'' part out of your name. You ain't fooling anybody here..

Funny how the players paint the picture of MT and Lefebvre that us fans have been painting for the last three years. Where's Des Louise and the other defenders?

Don't worry, Monctonscout is here to save the day.

By having a team that pays a lot of attention to defense, wins faceoffs, blocks shots and does a great job killing penalties.

Did you watch this past season or is your PVR stuck on 2011-2012?

Explain why the Canadiens were outshot and out chanced in the large majority of their games this season then if they are so magical defensively. If you think Price should be thanking Therrien for his record setting season, you are out to lunch. Out to ****ing lunch. Therrien should be bowing at Prices feet and praising his name because Price is the absolute only reason Therrien still has a job right now.

Apologists man LOL

A- The core is indeed young, but they also need solid vets to support them. See Edmonton. I have a feeling we need to seriously upgrade the offense and go next year. 1sts are likely high and never a sure shot after the 20th pick. I don't think it would cripple the team more than it would help for those two years.

B- Let's try them with the best goalie in the world, see how they do.

C- I wanted the two gallys with patch, marleau and thornton together. DD Not higher than third line. I liked Eller in the playoffs and think he deserves a bigger role. Maybe EGG line as 2nd line and Pacioretty woth the sharks could very well work too.you can shuffle them as you wish, that's not very important.

Still not a deal I would touch with a 10 foot pole.

Carey Price won't give them back their prime.

I firmly believe MT was the right coach for this team when he was hired. I also believe he lacks what we need to get to the next level

Common sense as a concept is proof that something is true, since defining the very term is difficult. Perhaps you mean the truth is self-evident, which is never the case in the NHL. Clarke MacArthur was deemed a grinder for the longest time but he broke out eventually. So no, you single set of eyes is not proof of truth.

The eye can fail easily. Otherwise, you wouldn't be constantly bring up Sekac's stats in order to counter his supporters' appeal to the eye test.

Based on what? Based on what did you think he was the right coach? I'm baffled by this. He had no job before we hired him, he isnt the right coach for anyone playing in this league passed the lock out.

Monctonsophistandhypocrite would be a fine name for him. Doesn't even realize that playing Eller in the top 6 and him failing would be a dream for every Eller doubter in the world to then lynch Eller in their mind. It would completely finish the debate.

I'm truly glad majority of this board finally sees what I and other have said since day 1 of MT's tenure.

Some of them had it with him after 10 games, others took longer. Pacioretty for his comments should honestly never wear this jersey again (including his ballerina performances in the playoffs).

You mean the team that average 5 more shots for than against in the playoffs...34.7 SF to 29.4 SA?

Price had a great year, no doubt about that, but you can say the same for any playoff team. Saying coach X only has a job because of player Y is crap. Do you think Chicago wins 2 cups without Toews, does that make Quenneville a bad coach?

Everything that got said since the Habs got eliminated, from the players themselves to analysts, confirmed pretty much what everyone that had a beef with Therrien has been saying for over a year.

I was pretty clear it was my belief, so I based it on that. You see the team make steady progress, then this year at the deadline they went sideways. Now you hear the exit interviews that aren't too happy, and there are hints about not transitioning, about the lack of offence, about not wanting to rely only on Price.

This argument has been said so many times, and been refuted so many times, that I can hardly take anyone bringing this point forward seriously anymore.

I doubt McArthur went through a 2 month slump where he put up 2 points.

Yet the facts prove the exact opposite...but this place has never been strong on facts.

People are freaking out for nothing... We might even be only one or two shootout specialists away from winning the St-Louis Blues Memorial Trophy for regular season excellence.

Andre Savard is dumb.
He did great things with the Habs. He's not dumb.

He really lost his mind. I don't know if he was just being a sensationalist on TV the few times I saw him, but man, he was terrible. I wouldn't want this guy anywhere my hockey team. He really talked like he was a new random hockey fan that didn't even understood hockey.
