I could see the Jays holding out hopes of signing one of the remaining guys to a high average, short term deal. The average would be ugly but keep flexibility to keep Bo and Vlad around.
Never. The only reason he isnt in jail is because a Dodgers season ticket holder chose to ignore any parts of what the law actually says.I’ll say it again. Bauer on a show me deal for one year
Huh, please provide context?Never. The only reason he isnt in jail is because a Dodgers season ticket holder chose to ignore any parts of what the law actually says.

well which is it lol.
That's all he asked for and it went to arb?Per SN, Vladdy won (as he should have)
He didn't deserve it IMO. two years of decline. That's all he asked for and it went to arb?

You call a 5-9 of Varsho, Biggio, Kirk, IKF and Kiermaier good????How could they possibly be projected to have a top 10 offence when they have inarguably, unquestionably, the undisputed worst 5-9 in all of baseball.
And if the offense picks it up even the slightest they're going to win 90+. Meh.You call a 5-9 of Varsho, Biggio, Kirk, IKF and Kiermaier good????
And the only reason why they're still projected to finish in a wild card spot is because they do have one of the best starting rotations in the league. At least on paper. And pitching means a lot in baseball. But it's like I said the other day, if their pitching tails off even the slightest then they're going nowhere.
Fwiw, mlbtr is spectacular with their arb projections and they had him slightly higher based on how the system works. He didn't deserve it IMO. two years of declined
Don't hold your breath. They won't. But you are right. And if the offense picks it up even the slightest they're going to win 90+. Meh.

Judge denies restraining order to woman who accused Trevor Bauer of assault
A Los Angeles judge sided with Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer on Thursday and denied a restraining order to a woman who said he choked her into unconsciousness and punched her repeatedly during two sexual encounters.www.sportsnet.ca
According to the NY Times, the judge made a ruling that would prejudice any criminal charges to find Bauer not guilty (despite this not being a trial). Had the judge followed actual procedure, the judge should not have commented on matters outside the scope of this restraining order hearing.

Bookmark this post.No that’s clearly not the only reason why they’re projected to finish as WC1. It literally projects them to finish in the top 10 for runs scored.

I can 100% guarantee you that they will not finish in the top 10 in runs scored. I will even put money on that.
It's a dumb system if you ask me. He made $14M last year, now he gets $20M for being worse than even the year before.Fwiw, mlbtr is spectacular with their arb projections and they had him slightly higher based on how the system works.
It is not a comment on his play; it is a system that says that Vlad could have made more
In a vacuum sure, but how about 2021 when he hit 48 bombs and made even less? It's a dumb system if you ask me. He made $14M last year, now he gets $20M for being worse than even the year before.
In 2021 he was pre-arb, so he didnt deserve anything beyond what he got as league minimum. In a vacuum sure, but how about 2021 when he hit 48 bombs and made even less?
Do you think he’d get less in an open market? If so, you’d be dreadfully wrong.
He hit 48 HR and finished runner il in the MVP voting while making $600,000 in 2021. That's a bigger problem than arbitration. It's a dumb system if you ask me. He made $14M last year, now he gets $20M for being worse than even the year before.
Wait... why is it a systemic problem that a guy gets more than you think he should get through arbitration, but superstars making league minimum isn't a big deal because they "don't deserve" more?In 2021 he was pre-arb, so he didnt deserve anything beyond what he got as league minimum.
The performance that year got him an extra year of arbitration. So he should be happy nonetheless.
And he's not in the open market, so what he could or could have got is irrelevant.
