Damn, was hoping for Polanco for Espinal++.

He’s a good switch hitter that will help that lineup.

That’s a lot for an expiring 2B.

Decent reliever, top 100 prospect, expensive starter but can give you some innings and another prospect.

I am starting to worry to be honest, It's now less than 1 month before spring training games start and they have not improved this roster,

The Jays should overpay for J.D Martinez.

3. Vlad Jr.
4. Martinez
5. Bichette

This has the potential to be one of the better 3-4-5's in baseball if Vlad can get back to 2021 form. And I still think this team has one of the deeper lineups from 5-9. I only worry about 2-3-4.

Given the Polanco trade I wonder if that takes Kepler off the table. I wonder what it would cost to acquire him. It would give us 3 LHH and we could cycle him through DH/1B/LF/CF/RF.

Turner's a solid add. He can play a little 1B/2B/3B and has a solid, OBP-driven offensive profile. The depth and defensive versatility on this team is wild. One thing I really like is that they can run out almost any combination of players and still be solid offensively and defensively.

They're still missing a middle-of-the-order bat, though. Martinez would be great there, but I think Soler is more likely at this point since he can at least pretend to be an outfielder now and then.

It's not the worst move.

He's a quality hitter and said to be a great vet.
Yeah, I view it as a move that lengthens the lineup rather than really bolstering it. There's nothing wrong with that, but they're still one impact bat away from finishing the team.

I think this one pretty much rules out a Chapman return (where do IKF and Turner get any playing time if they also add a full-time 3B?) and increases the likelihood of Espinal not making it through the offseason with the team.

You keep Bichette in the 2 spot not hit the league leader in hits 5th

The situation screams “Bellinger” I hope they can still sign him.

I had the same thought, too. With Kiermaier back, I thought he didn't make a lot of sense. But now they've added two RHH infielders, one who will need plenty of time at DH (or at 1B, moving Vlad to DH). Soler and Martinez are both RHH mostly DH as well, so playing time might be a little awkward.

For all the uncertainty, Bellinger if a LHH who can play all three OF positions and 1B. He would finish off the team nicely and allow them to move everyone all over the place on any given day. I'm all for it, and I don't even care (ok, I only kind of care) if the contract is ugly long-term - the window is the next two years while Bo and Vlad are still here.
