This was EXACTLY what I said on Twitter.I read that's she's a model, could be there for some shoot or something
This is the way I would go as well unless there is a trade option out there we don't know about.Same. Some were happy to avoid his $17M salary last year on a one year deal. Think how bad a $150-200M+ 7-10+ year deal would look like after a year.
Give me 3-4 batters on 1 year deals worth $10-20M each to lengthen you lineup and core already of Bo, Springer, Vlad and Kirk. Bring in some more vets who know how to hit like a Turner, JD, Votto etc
If they pan out, great, if not then you have a lot of MLB ready guys;
Barger
Damiano
Orelvis
Schneider
Horwitz
Maybe Roden
Who can all learn from these guys in spring training.
That's been the case since the day AA was named GM.From here on out everyone and their grandmother is going to use the Jays as very public leverage to drive a market since we won't confirm or deny it.
I wouldn't be surprised if she's just trolling Toronto fans. This was EXACTLY what I said on Twitter.
I think so too.I wouldn't be surprised if she's just trolling Toronto fans.
This is an interesting idea. But with so much uncertainty right now, I'd personally want to hold onto the player with 4 years of control who's a former ace over 2 years of control. I don't think we're at "rebuild status" right now, but given how strong the division is, I don't want to be giving up extra years of control unless we're primed for a run. What would you guys think of a challenge of Manoah for Cease? It doesn't really fill any holes for us but I think Cease's underlying numbers portend a higher chance of a bounce back (he still had 3.7WAR in a down year).
Why would Chicago do it? They look to be retooling/rebuilding and Cease is on the block already. He's 27, in his 2nd year of arbitration, with only two years of control left. Manoah is only 25 with 4 more years of control and not arbitration eligible until 2025. If he bounces back he's also a #1 type starter with more control.
That's been the case since the day AA was named GM.
You missed the sarcasm. There was an American journalist who implied that MLB wanted him in LA because it was better for baseball (who probably should have his press pass revoked because for being a neanderthal)AA didn’t have this kind of money or term to spend.
Yea sure it’s better for baseball that he is on the west coast and again no one will be watching him due to time zone.
Nope, Boras staged this event and played the long game.
Baseball has national contracts with FOX (and FS1), ESPN, TBS, Peacock, and Apple. Is there a national TV contract? Baseball is mainly a regional sport with a few teams that garner national attention and the Blue Jays are not one of those teams.
There you go. The last thing those guys want is Ohtani outside their market.Baseball has national contracts with FOX (and FS1), ESPN, TBS, Peacock, and Apple.
Lol, was just thinking that.Unfortunately for Bellinger, he isn't Ohtani so the whole baseball world doesn't care where he or his gf are.
