"Wanna go, Prettyboy?"
This was fleshed out on previous page. It was a high return for JT Miller with no retention - he's not 28 anymore.
No it wasn't. It was nowhere close to a high return.

Hopefully you keep this same energy when the Rangers are forced to give up a lottery pick next June. The trade in vacuum was a fleecing. I dont care how the teams are doing its irrelevant.
Eichel was also coming off a risky, experimental neck surgery. There was no guarantee he would be the same player. Its on par with whatever Sabres got for Jack Eichel and Eichel was much young younger and better player. The 1st rounder was business as usual, we got a very good prospect in return in Mancini, and we got a roster player in Cythil. The fans seems to like Mancini a lot. Don't forget Miller is 32.... and a 7 more years tied to him. Us getting rid of that contract is also a win.
Not sure but Im not sure how you can argue its not underwhelmingWhat were we suppose to get ?
would prefer 2025 but still fine if it ends up being 2026Hopefully you keep this same energy when the Rangers are forced to give up a lottery pick next June.

So you would be fine if the Rangers miss the playoffs this year, keep their pick, and miss the playoffs next year and end up giving that pick up for an aging Miller?would prefer 2025 but still fine if it ends up being 2026
Correct. Again he just turned 32. He’s not that old. Trade was worth it. Also Drury can relinquish the 2025 pick to Pitt if he wants toSo you would be fine if the Rangers miss the playoffs this year, keep their pick, and miss the playoffs next year and end up giving that pick up for an aging Miller?
Show me a comparable. No it wasn't. It was nowhere close to a high return.
Today we apparently think getting hurt and leaving the game is not showing up.EP40 too busy crying to show up today

This makes about as much sense as thinning the NHL has a load management issue.Day to day with hurt feelings.
I agree with this. It's not a Canuck fan thing but an HFBoards thing in general, where when a player turns 30+ the decline is imminent and therefore a terrible contract. Even though actual GM's are signing these contracts all the time.Correct. Again he just turned 32. He’s not that old. Trade was worth it. Obviously Miller will decline at some point but I think he'll continue to play well through most of his current contract. As has been pointed out he scored 103 points last season and this one despite all the issues is just below a PPG. Really what it comes down to is sometimes a team just needs to move on from a player and it comes down to accommodating the move and getting some value back in return, but the value is never going to be equal. In this case it looked like Vancouver did a pretty good job getting value back, but with Chytil being damaged goods and still under contract for 2 more years it's only a mediocre return.
The Canucks were initially a much improved team after the trade but now Chytil unfortunately for team & player looks like he's just going to be an LTIR headache.
Not so sure what's so hard to understand. He has been crap all year. He was the center of all the drama. Clearly didn't want to be here .Since he left we overall look better. Getting rid of a player showing signs of decline at the age where most players start to exit their prime wasn't the worst move. This has nothing to do with miller being on the wrong side of 30.
If the EP40 drama never happened, do you really think canucks fans would still be trashing miller and saying he sucks because of his age?
miller literally had 100+ points last year. Yet nucks fans are trying to convince us that he’s a cap dump with a terrible contract lol
No it wasn't. It was nowhere close to a high return.
Just signed with NYR.With Northeastern's season over, any plans for signing Dorrington or is he more likely to return for his senior year?
To clarify, the intention here is not to disparage JT Miller as a player, but to engage in a thoughtful discussion about the potential benefits of exploring a trade. Several valid considerations warrant this conversation, such as the long-term implications of his contract, inconsistencies in his defensive performance, and recurring concerns about cohesion in the locker room over the years. While the team’s winning record without him this season is a limited sample size, it does invite reflection on roster flexibility and future planning.do you really think canucks fans would still be trashing miller and saying he sucks because of his age?
While the Eichel trade is an imperfect comparison, it underscores the importance of evaluating age, health, and contract value in transactions. Focusing on JT Miller: entering Year 2 of an eight-year, $8M AAV deal, his statistical regression (declining production, reduced ice time) and reported friction within the locker room raise red flags. Vancouver’s winning record without him this season, while a small sample size, further questions his current impact. Not to mention he doesn't seem to mention the injury concerns around Eichel at the time of his trade.
