At least we can sign him again in the off season! The fact we traded Blais back to them is hilarious

I slotted him in the wrong place and you are nuts if you think they had the blues hold half the salary for tank AND take blais for no reason. SJ would easily hold half of meier's contract for the right return. it can still be doneHuh? Miko is the 6th D guy who is better defensively than Braun was. That spot is filled. Honestly they just need a good bottom 6 winger at this point (Motte) and they are done.
Also on what planet do you think the rangers have the cap space now for Meier as well?
It can be done with retentions.I mean Meier is a pipe dream at this point. I don’t see any way the money works without robbing Peter to pay Paul.
But if that happened in some miracle scenario we would have 2 bonafide 1st lines the kid line, and a 3rd line
Did you go outside today to yell at kids to get off your lawn?We can lose in the first round or miss the PO altogether and still lose a first. Thx I hate it.
All for a past his prime 31 year old we should've drafted with the 10th pick ages ago....except we took the obvious bust.
And we have to make the deal bc we dealt away the in his prime homegrown talent on the verge of becoming a PPG player....to this same team.
And we traded back the supposed good middle 6 player we got back FOR the PPG player.
This move wasnt made in a vacuum and I despise it.
If it had been made in a vacuum I'd still hate yet another 1st going away in a trade for a 30+ player.
I dont believe this move gets us close to a cup. I'd be thrilled to be wrong. I've been saying some version of this for decades with both the NYR and NYJ. I'm over the egregious incompetence consistently on display from both teams.
Dont like me hating this trade? Too bad. Suffer with me in May. There will be Cheetos and cinnabons
It’s a calculated risk. Yes the Rangers can lose in the first round. They could also have kept the pick and drafted yet another bust.We can lose in the first round or miss the PO altogether and still lose a first. Thx I hate it.

They did it because without the Blues covering half the salary and taking Blais the Rangers wouldn't have been able to fit Tarasenko and Mikkola. They have less than $100k in cap space right nowI slotted him in the wrong place and you are nuts if you think they had the blues hold half the salary for tank AND take blais for no reason. This is the case without a doubt. I still hate it.It’s a calculated risk. Yes the Rangers can lose in the first round. They could also have kept the pick and drafted yet another bust.
FfffAIIILLL the REbuilllld.....dewitReading this again but in Palpatine’s voice was strangely satisfying….
I like kids, they're competent at what they do. (Like make up silly shit and enjoy it) They're funny as hell. Unlike the NYR. But thanks for insinuating negative shit about me as a person bc I dont like the way the NYR do stuff. Totally fairDid you go outside today to yell at kids to get off your lawn?
Do we put Tank on the RW with CK and VT?
i think you have to, but if Panarin, Mika and Vesey continue to play well, the kid line continues to do what it is doing, Tank with Vinny and Chris could be wickedYou start him off with Panarin...
Hartford always needs players. At least we can sign him again in the off season!
We joked about this one earlier in the week. Basically after much of what he wrote was the prior days worth of Roster Building thread here on HF. But...It happened. They moved on from Kane and they did indeed get Tarasenko.
The last piece though was interesting. Jeannot. Did Larry and Slats have a chat? Preds scouted the Rangers game vs the Flames. Vince posted about it. I'd bet if we did enough digging the Rangers probably scouted the Preds.
But the guy I would target, ahead of any of these options, is Nashville’s 25-year-old physical winger, Tanner Jeannot, a pending restricted free agent who will come with arbitration rights off an expiring contract worth an AAV of $800,000.
The Rangers’ cap situation next season makes it extremely difficult to trade for anyone with term on his contract, but this is an exception worth making. Jeannot is tough, he can play, he is a straight-line forechecker and net-driver and he would instantly make the Rangers a more formidable playoff opponent.
Jeannot may not be readily available, but as a bottom six that has 13 points (5-8) in 48 games following a 41-point (24-17) 2021-22, there must be an affordable price for him. How about Vitali Kravtsov in a one-for-one that would represent an exchange of styles? I envision Jeannot as part of the core. I do not envision that with Kravtsov. I envision this as a worthwhile conversation.
