GDT: NYR Player Development Camp Info

Yeah, man. I used to know so much from the old CBA. I never bothered to sit down and really read the new one. All of the minor changes just are foreign to me.

I read on the main board, that Chicago was the second smallest team in the league

Yeah. Well, it is the main board. While they may not have the biggest team in the league, no way are the Black Hawks small:

Bickell
Bollig
Carcillo
Handzus
Hossa
Kruger
Myers
Saad
Sharp
Stalberg
Toews

Forwards: all over 6', all but two over 200lbs

Brookbank
Hjalmarsson
Keith
Leddy
Oduya
Roszival
Seabrook

Defense: Not the biggest D in the league I'll grant you, but extremely capable.

Agree

People forget to realize there's a difference between being big and playing big as well.

any chance that Brock Beuekboom gets signed?? Brock might end up on the Whale if signed...

75% will get a two way, esp if his pops is down there.

Mac
Noreau
Syvret
Vernace
Pyett
Collins
Klassen
Dodero
Beuke

That's whom we're going to be looking at for our 6 down there.

We need to bring Pashnin into camp and have him knock some of this new blood around.

Don't know if this has been posted from blueshirtsunited or not but it sounds like skjei looks improved from a year ago. Looking forward to him making the world junior team this year

"While Skjei surely was pleased with his goal, it was the strong positional play and shot-blocking of the Rangers 2012 first rounder which stood out the most during the scrimmage. That and the fact that Skjei has added ten pounds of muscle and now boasts a solid 205 pound frame surely had the Rangers brass feeling good."

His positional play has always been very good. Hes a smart player. Really excited to see how he progresses this upcoming season.

Except Boo can really skate.

He was arguably Michigan's top forward this past season. Expecting him to have a big season at Michigan this upcoming season.

That draft may turn out to be a very good draft for us.

That's great news. Still want to see him transfer to Regina, but probably too late for that. Has some competition with Vanelli joining the Gophers.

I think Yogan and McIlrath will be on the cusp of the big team this fall. Both have skills that the team doesn't really have right now and each will be closer to 100%.

Where does Yogan even fit in the NHL? 4th line center? Does he have more upside than that?

Just watched the Noreau interview. Seems like a nice kid. Definitely an exciting thought potentially having both him and McIlrath on the Rangers blue line in the future

Does seem like the rangers finally have a few guys with size and skating that they can start trying to integrate on their bottom 6, after years of attempting to plug in 30+ year old cast off grinders to do it

It's frustrating to see all that talent wrapped in such a small package. But there in lays the opportunity I guess. I'd love to see the Rangers give this kid a chance.

Is there any decent video of this kid offda?

Also, Tolchinsky is not 5'7" or 5'6". According to his OHL team, he is 5'9".

I hope NYR sign him. Small player but phenomenal skill.

Does anybody think one of the reasons we traded Christian Thomas is that NYR plan on signing Tolchinsky. Can't have too many small players.

He was my favorite prospect for a while but he just can't stay healthy. His upside is third line 12-18 goals

Love Yogan.

He's got a deceiving wrister and likes to get dirty in front of the net. Really impressed me while I was at CT games last year. On the right line, I think he could hit 20 goals....
