I was trained in the classics.

Shakespeare didn't say "let's go," he said "cry 'havoc!' and let slip the dogs of war."

He didn't say "let's see how this trade plays out," he said "there are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

Pierre Dorion on Ebert over the summer:

"Nick's a stronger skater with a big-time shot. He is really coming into his own in Europe. Also, he's only 25 and we feel his best hockey is in front of him."

A RHD from New Jersey who lit it up in the OHL and had character concerns...where have I heard this before?

I know it's probably not the popular opinion right now but Quinn views McKegg as a more effective bottom 6 guy than Namestnikov. From what I saw of Mckegg in the playoffs and preseason I agree with him.
I'm probably biased tho cause I was and am in the "Namestnikov was carried by Kucherov" camp.

‘Lit up the OHL’ might be a stretch

Exactly. We couldn’t scratch Haley to make room for Chytil? Namestnikov is a viable middle six forward. Nothing special, but even just one hot stretch this year and as an expiring contract at the deadline I’d assume we could do better than a 4th. Oh well.

A 4th from Ottawa is similar to a 3rd from a much better team? Without having to worry he would turn into an Anisimov? Lol.

Am I dumb for thinking this lets Lemieux slide up in the lineup so Lias can play with Haley and Smith?

Now. Now. Don't fret. It will be Vinni Lettieri.
