Before the deal our window closed yesterday, so I guess Sather is trying to reopen it for today. I think this move puts us closer to doing that, but to actually be a cup contender we're further away with this.

I feel like Sather is trying to add more toughness with Klein. Not too sure how I feel about it though considering the potential Del Zotto has.

Although, I have been getting annoyed with Del Zotto lately so Im content to wait this one out and see the upside (even though I think we could've gotten better).

Please. For 18 games, total, this year? Sure. That's why you're smarter than every coach and GM in the league and Stralman wouldn't get you 1/3 the return those bums would, even if they were all UFAs of the same age.

There's the first problem. Klein is not the type of player who is going to show up in the stat sheet. The Rangers essentially got a poor man's Girardi.

Holy crap people. If you haven't sen him play stop analyzing the trade like you have. Klein will be a perfect top-4 d-man on this team. He is a tough, in-your-face defensive d-man who skates well and can drop the gloves if need be.

He is 29, but he is also signed at 2.9 million for 4 more years after this one. That's a GREAT contract.

If he's better than them, it stands to reason he should be more valuable as well. Anton Stralman is not better than Staal or Girardi and he's not better than Klein either. I'm not even going to humor discussing this further.
