Oh look more Lehkonen is worthless but this prospect is worth way more talk… f*** it’s brainless
you don't want to hear, that his career year doesn't boost his value past your own expectation from last year, so you might advice your habs fans colleagues to stop make further proposals with him. there is no guarantee, that the spike in his production is sustainable in new environment and/or past the current season.

in business you can enter the market with high price and hope, that the uniqueness of the asset makes an interested party pay the price or you can enter the market with a low price and try to generate multiple bids for your assets, which raises the price above your initial ask. i am not sure, if lehkonen is such are rare commodity on the market to justify the first strategy.

Neutral party here, it’s a good trade straight up. I think more teams would benefit from these type of 1 for 1 trades to address their needs. Value seems right to me

Rangers top prospect for a 3rd liner? In what world do the Ranger’s do this?

In what world is Lundqvist the Rangers top prospect? Schneider has played less NHL games.

lundkvist is so high on the list because Laf and Kakko are already in the NHL.

He's a good prospect b+ but isn't a world beater like you are suggesting. Still like him.

In this world?

Keep dreaming if you think Lek, a 3rd liner on any decent team is worth a teams top 2 prospect. And prepare yourself to be very disappointed if you think that’s the return he will get.

Redo that poll today Schneider is 100% the Rangers top prospect. Also a top 2 prospect for a team is super subjective and varies extremely.

Also I don't even want to trade lehkonen, this is the overpay I'd require to move him if I was in charge. Lundvist + as many other Habs Gans and management (ask is 1st plus based on reports)

Rangers fans, what's prevented Lundkvist from taking that next step?

Ability to be a trusted defensemen in his own end. Someone like Schneider is +6 in his time in the AHL and Lundkvist is -5. Some say +/- is garbage but there is some context you can look at. How guys rank on the same team. One near the top of the +/- ranks and the the near the bottom.

I'd consider the Lehkonen/Lundkvist swap but not sure I like it. Lundkvist could bust and Lehkonen could be on a value contract in his prime from 27-30. Still one more RFA year of control where you can get him extended at a fair cap hit IMO.

Lundkvist is slightly better than guys we have with Harris and Norlinder. But will any of them be top 4D? Hard to guess on that. Lundkvist was a grade A before his NHL/AHL year but now I would have him grade B+ and could go backwards. Can he regain his grade A status and be a trusted guy in his own end? That's hope

What do you mean spike in his production? You have no idea what you’re talking about sorry.

Lunddqvist is not a unique asset nor is he a particularly enticing piece, he’s just a relatively shiny relatively new toy.

Schneider > Lundkvist
Ok he is still top 2 if you do that.

And for a team like yours in full rebuild mode, you should be dying for another top prospect to add to your pipeline. I find his hilarious some Habs posters would say no to this.

Honestly, I don't know that the pick value is right but the base of the trade seems fair for both teams. Lundkvist has been a blue chip prospect of the Rangers and has continued to progress at every level. Tough rookie season but not completely unexpected.

Lehkonen helps them now and Lundkvist is really only expendable due to their deep pipeline of D prospects.

So you’d rather trade schneider? How bout othmann? Since you know based off what you’re quoting, schneider is #2, and othmann is #4

Lehkonen doesn't get Lundkvist on his own, let alone an add on top of that.

Counter-proposal:
Barclay Goodrow, 5th
for
Guhle, 2nd (lowest)

Bottom 6er and a 5th for the team's best D prospect outside the NHL and a 2nd. Because let's be clear, that's what OP is suggesting.
Huh. This post really made me think.

Thanks

I dont want lund for Leky. I dont want lund at all. small dman? cant score, cant protect the crease, cant fight.
how about CANT BE A HAB.. Lund is a NY 1st round BUST. By next year Lund is worth a bag of pucks when the entire world he is a BUST.

lol that is really funny now considering that the guy who picked him is your Executive VP?
