Lol, dude sit down. The first tweet did not indicate any request made by Kravstov's camp. The subsequent ones did.

You were wrong and got proven right by different reporting. Great job. If anyone here is backpedaling, it certainly isn't me.

what a little bitch. I guess it’s better to find out a guy has this type of attitude early. Rags used a top10 pick on him but they may dodge a bullet with him not in their Locker room. Especially if they can get a decent return

Using the limited power a young player has doesn't make him a bitch or have a bad attitude. It's a business, Kravtsov owes the Rangers nothing.

You don’t follow the team then. It’s well established by reliable sources that these changes were independent of that incident and were due to the whole season.
I still believe that he’d be on the roster over guys like Gauthier and Hunt if not for that incident. I also believe the Reaves move would be less likely to happen.

Of course I could be wrong but that’s just my opinion.

I have no idea if you're making names up or something but sure. I'll take your 2nd + some no name prospect at this point.

You're winning this trade, congratulations.

Lol - basically a collection of guys we almost definitely wont sign, one 22yr old who is doing ok in tier 2 Sweden, or a late pick. Personally, I'd take the late rounder.

If Kravtsov wasnt Russian/willing to play in the A, it would be a different story. But yeah, that aside, I see him as a cant-miss middle 6er who can play all situations and has a unique, built for playoffs skillset. Good prospect, sucks that its likely not gonna work out for the team that invested in him (and tbh that does make me think less of him a bit).

Why are people giving the Rangers a hard time? The kid didn’t make the team and refuses to be an AHL player....twice.

I wouldn’t want him on the team at this point. I wouldn’t give him away either. You can’t foresee these things when you draft someone, he was a good pick at the time. If you don’t want to be part of a good young core like this, don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

Barrett Hayton for Vitali Kravtsov seems like one of those trades that happen when two highly rated prospects are at a crossroads like this.
This I would be okay with considering Lafreniere played really well with Hayton at the WJC.

I don’t think so at all. Gauthier doesn’t play physical, he just simply outplayed Kravtsov in pre-season and is a Gallant type player

Yeah he should have some shit thrown at him. But so should Drury.

Drury demoted a top 10 pick who plays on a position we're thin (RW) because he was afraid of losing Hajek/Gauthier to waivers... that's horrible asset management. Just wave Hajek and this doesn't happen.

Or trade Kravtsov before demoting him, talk about ruining his value.

The Rangers made big changes in almost all departments due to team results from last season. New coach, new GM, new front office, new scouts, new drafting strategy, and new roster building strategy. It was an accumulation of the direction of the team that the owner didn’t like.

Wouldn't mind seeing him on the Sabres, he could very likely be in the top 6 or top 9 at least given what's available at RW currently. Not that we don't have glaring holes all over the roster.

Also, everyone trying to dunk on @EdJovanovski should shut the f*** up.

It’s plain rude to try to do this to someone when their favorite player is traded or about to be traded. There’s banter and there’s being a douchebag. Trying to tag him or mention him to try to dunk on him now is the latter.
Considering this board is entirely about chirping, I think you're being an overly sensitive white knight.

What do the rangers even want? Most teams would most likely need to trade a roster player to make room for Kravtsov at this point in the season since most rosters are set.

Hayton wasn't even a great AHL player... I'm not convinced he'll be an NHL regular. At least with Lias Andersson (who the Rangers traded away)... he was obviously one of the best/better AHL players on the ice every night.
